Does anyone know where I might find a site to help plan a 4 day visit with a guy who is sportsminded but has a 1 year old baby. His only request was to see Animal Kingdom. I wish I had a game plan of how to get through the parks quickly. It will be June 11-14. It is my sil. Thanks for any help-it is his first visit and I want it to be special.

:wave2: Welcome to the Boards!

If speed is what you are after, have a look at the Unofficial Guide to Disney by Bob Sehlinger. In it are touring plans of each park, which show the quickest routes possible. If you go to www.touringplans.com you can get custom ones drawn up.

People on the boards rave about them, although be aware that they can involve criss crossing the park and need you to be at the park around an hour before opening to get the best out of them.

With the 1 year old in mind, try to keep the pace ssslllloooowww. Stop and smell the roses. The little one will be more enjoyable to hang with if they aren't stressed out.

Also, I second the Unofficial Guide for touring plans. Try to find out what attractions your SIL will like, then adapt the plans to that. The unofficial guide also has ride descriptions.

Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately for the three of us women-my dd's and me-we have to plan this trip for dsil...

He is cranky...

And I truly want him to have a great time.

So, we will try to do all four parks in 4 days-which I think is insane. : /

I have to plan this out and email it to them tonight...

Bleeh!

At least while the guys ride some of the wilder stuff, we can window shop.

I booked character breakfasts, lunch at Cindy's for the girls!, and planned all dinners-Rainforest Cafe and Prime Time 50's cafe.

I hope this is an easy vacation. Tomorrow I am going to go have some Kona coffee at Polynesian and relax...they won't be here for a week, but I need to relax now. Haha!

If your son-in-law is cranky-- send him back to the hotel. I wouldn't sacrifice my trip. Nonetheless, Disney if planned out can immerse even the crankiest of people in magic (I know-- my DH HATES crowds-- yet he always has a good time at Disney thanks to being prepared). To be blunt it could also bring out the worst in him. Try to get all the info you can, being prepared really makes all the difference in the world. You may try looking through our website www.wdwinfo.com for lots of information. As well as picking up some books to look through.

There is so much to do on the property I'm sure you can find something he'll be interested in. He doesn't HAVE to go to the parks (ACK!) since they have all kinds of stuff like golf, Richard Petty's Driving Experience, Disney Quest, etc. There certainly is enough sports-minded entertainment there to keep any sports nut happy. Send him over to the ESPN Zone while you go play.
