From everything I've read, you will only be able to hold up to three reservations at any one time, and once you've used one you can book another to replace it. It depends on how that feature is implemented though; if booking a fourth slot is based on the start of the current window, there could be a one-hour period when you technically hold four bookings.
I know this is all still speculation, but I'm confused as to when you can book a 4th LL. Do we think it's after you tap in/use the 1st of the 3 already booked, or when you tap in/use the 3rd of the 3 already booked? I'm really hoping it's after using the first. And then, if you use the one you booked 4th, but haven't used #2 or #3, can you book another one do you think? Basically, it looks to me like you can always have 3, doesn't matter the order they're used in. But others are saying you have to use all 3 before you can book the 4th one.
sounds correct to me....it says pre-planning on July 21....that is 3 days before full blown implementation (and I'm assuming your offsite, hence the 3 days prior)Got an interesting email about Lightning Lanes from my TA recently.
It includes this verbiage:
“The date for your pre-planning will be at 7am EST on Jul 21, 2024 for your vacation.”
That’s not correct, is it? Everything I’ve seen indicates that it opens on 7/24 for everyone, even if that’s less than 7 days before your trip start date…
I can imagine just how horrible that is now. It's too crowded, so much breaking down, and adjusting staff to the bear minimum. It's not the same anymore, and that is a shame. I don't have a clue what the answer is, but it's a mess right now IMO.I took a trip in July 2021 when it was still busy, but there was no Fast pass or anything. I said I would not go again until they got some kind of program in place. It was miserable, lines were insane, people were extra cranky because of that. Had a much better time with Genie and Genie +. I remember when they had ticket Fastpasses and we would send the kids to sprint to the kiosks to get passes for everyone. That was a bit insane too. Some kind of program is needed. We will see how this one works out when I go in August. Fortunately, we love to plan. It’s part of the fun of vacation although I realize many people probably don’t share our enthusiasm.

That's my question as well since we will be there 7/20-7/27If it goes live Jul 24th, will onsite guests be able to start booking Jul 17th or, will they need to book and start using it Jul 24th?
The Disneyworld website "7 days before the first day of their Resort stay." I think they realize not everyone goes to a theme park on their first day. They're even allowing free admission to a water park on check-in day next year, aren't they? Nevertheless, they have chosen to base your booking date on when you check into the resort, not when your ticket starts.Apologies if this has been asked and I just haven't been able to find it - do we know how the preplanning window will work for people staying onsite - who don't have a park ticket for their first day? For example, I'm arriving on Friday Sept. 27th and going to MNSSHP that night and not buying a separate park ticket - I will have park tickets for Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th. Does that mean that I can prebook my lightning lanes on Friday, Sept. 20th or do I have to wait until Saturday, September 21st?
Everything I've seen seems to refer to dates of hotel stay - but I realize they might be assuming folks have park tickets for the entirety of their trip.
That's my question as well since we will be there 7/20-7/27
"On the day of your park visit, once you redeem a Lightning Lane Multi Pass selection (or once the arrival window has passed), you can use the My Disney Experience app to check availability for another Lightning Lane Multi Pass experience—and add to your plans.
I have the same question but haven't seen an answer. Everything I've seen about the Single Pass has said it's the same as the ILL, except they can be booked ahead of time, so I'm hoping we'll be able to do what you described, but haven't seen it addressed. We like to hop from HS to Epcot, so I'm hoping to be able to get the Multipass for HS and a Single Pass for GOTG.Apologies if this has been asked before, but are we able to purchase a single pass for a park different than the multi pass park we purchase? For example, if I'm going to Epcot in the morning, can I make my 3 selections for Epcot rides and also purchase a single pass for Tron?
Sucks for us I guess. No benefit for staying on site and having everyone and their mother all trying to book on 7/24 at 7:00You'll be able to start booking on 24th July. Genie+ will be turned off at the end of the 23rd. Then at 7am on 24th July you'll see the new options for LLMP and LLSP, and at that point you'll be able to select for the same day (just like Genie+), and book for the next three days (seven if staying onsite), plus all the extended periods based on your ticket validity or hotel stay length. Nothing will be active to start any pre-booking prior to 7am on the 24th.

No, it's not a mess! When was your last visit?I can imagine just how horrible that is now. It's too crowded, so much breaking down, and adjusting staff to the bear minimum. It's not the same anymore, and that is a shame. I don't have a clue what the answer is, but it's a mess right now IMO.
I wouldn't be surprised if Disney releases a major update to the MDE Disneyworld app on the night of the 23rd and that you need the updated app to book on the 24th. So, for those who are booking that morning, I wouldn't wait until just before 7:00 to open the app. That's just supposition on my part, but I think it helps explain why there is apparently no transition period when people there can book Genie+/ILL while people arriving soon can book LLMP/LLSP. I think they couldn't, or chose not to, have the app handle both the outgoing system and the incoming system at once. You'll be able to start booking on 24th July. Yes you be able to use your LLMP at HS and with a Park-Hopper entitlement or AP go to Epcot and get a LLSP for GoTG.I'm hoping we'll be able to do what you described, but haven't seen it addressed. We like to hop from HS to Epcot, so I'm hoping to be able to get the Multipass for HS and a Single Pass for GOTG.
Sure! I just wanted to point out that there is more than 1 new variable. With multiple variables it could lead to unexpected changes and hopefully better (but possibly worse) flow. I’m very curious how wait times for all guests change in the upcoming months. Please, please don’t start talking about DAS in this thread. Many are trying to focus on the positive and learn as much as they can for the Multi-Pass since they no longer qualify for DAS with the changes Disney has put into place. There are plenty of threads talking about DAS. Thanks.![]()
