We're off on Thursday and are only there for two days. We're going to see the Tinkerbell show the first night so we're hoping to cram everything (parade , fairytale ceremony and fantillusion) into the next night.I'm nothing if not ambitious.:rotfl: especially when it comes to Disney.

We're planning to watch the parade in Fantasyland and then head into Bella Notte for Pizza.

I've looked through previous posts about Fantillusion . Would people recommend the castle stage or central plaza for Fantillusion if we have a 4 year old ? How long in advance do people queue? I don't want to stand too long in the cold and have a very unhappy DD but on the other hand I'd like her to be able to see it.

Also does anyone have a recommendation for a place to watch the fairytale ceremony (again with a 4 year old)?

I'm hoping to see both but we'll see how Jess manages . Fantillusion doesn't start to 8.30pm. Anyone any idea how long it lasts ?

Will we have time to sneak off for hot choc in between to maintain our body heat? And where do people recommend getting this?

Looks like we'll have two late nights - One at Tinkerbell and one watching everything else. I'll be coming home and going back to work for a rest.

Oh and for those who've been to Tinkerbell show . How early did you go ? and how easy is it to find? I only know it's in the NB.

Bet you're getting excited Angela! :yay:

I've only been to DLRP at busy times when you have to queue an hour in advance to get a good place for Fantillusion ~ I'm sure you won't need to get there that early, hopefully someone else who has been at the beginning of January other years can help.

I watched Fantillusion from the viewing platform of the castle stage last year (brilliant view) but you only see 2 acts from there ~ to see all 3 you need to watch it on Central Plaza. Think it's about 25 minutes long.

We watched the fairytale ceremony from in front of the stage (the one with the feather) one night (with the Castle behind it) and then another night we watched from where they roped off a walkway for the Princesses and characters to walk to the stage from the Castle. There was brilliant character interaction here but we had a better view of the ceremony from in front of the stage.

As for the Tinker Bell show, we got there an hour beforehand. Again, we went on a busy night, but I would definitely get there in plenty of time as you won't want to be sat anywhere near the back. It is very easy to find, there are signs as soon as you enter the Newport Bay. There is a nice shop there, perhaps you could take it in turns to queue and visit the shop so that Jess won't get too bored. :goodvibes

hi Disneyangel,

I think the best place for you and your DD to watch the fantillusion parade will be at the central plaze because you will be able to see all three stops here. The parade begins from the main street so it takes 5-10mins to reach the central plaza. I can't remember how long was the parade but it should be approximately 20-25mins.

For the enchanted fairy tale ceremony, I think the best place to stand is in front of the stage because you can get a good view of the castle and main street. when I was there last month, I picked my spot atleast 20-25mins before the show. one best place to get a hot choc is casey's corner. It is the nearest to central plaza.

Hope you will have a good time! :goodvibes

Thanks both:goodvibes

We are getting excited only 2 more sleeps

IMO the best places are on the balcony at main street station for fantillusion and at the front of the stage for the fairytale ceremony.

The Tinkerbell show was fab when we went Christmas 2005 - we arrived about an hour before and were already placed 6 table rows back. Nice view but aim for about thhe third row if you can get it.

There's no need for me to say 'enjoy yourself' as I have a feeling you will :goodvibes
