Places to charge your phone in the parks?

Between My Disney Experience and taking carouselfies, my battery power might start running low at some point during the day. Is there anywhere I can plug in my phone in the parks?

if you are asking if there are any charging stations that would be a no but you might find and outlet in one of the quick serve restaurants. I did see people using the outlets at the Tinker bell meet and great while they were waiting in line.

There is a new charging station at the Magic Kingdom by the new bathrooms in fantasy land just past Peter Pan. The plugs are in the tree trunks by the benches. It's a real cute little area. We checked it out last week. There is supposed to be some in Story Brook too but I'm not sure where they are.

I would recommend buying a portable charger, that way you can charge your phone and still tour. Walmart has some cheaper ones that work fine.

This! I have an Anker one that I got on Amazon for about $40ish and I got it with WDW in mind. Charge it from an wall outlet at night and it kept my phone full all day even though I use my phone a lot in the parks.

If you're willing to leave it for a while, you can apparently check it with Guest Services. A couple was offered this service when I was at Guest Services in DHS on Thanksgiving day.

I'd second the external charger, though. We bought one for our son to use on his marching band trip over Thanksgiving and he was able to charge to usable levels two cell phones and an iPad with it while the kids were en route on the bus. He got a snazzy one.

I've had great luck charging my phone at guest services in both MK and DHS. The CM simply gives you a claim tag to retrieve your phone when you think it's charged enough.

However, I ended up purchasing a small portable charger by Halo. It was under $30 and isn't much bigger than a tube of lipstick. I like the convenience of being able to charge my phone while still carrying it with me.

Also the arcade in tomorrow land (where space mountain lets out at) has a table with seating against the wall with a huge power strip across the back for plugging in phone chargers.


I also purchased a phone battery pack charger from amazon simply because I don't want to sit and wait on my phone to charge and lose precious time in the park

If you have an Android phone, most have batteries that can be swapped very easily. If you have an Apple type phone, you will be tied to a charging station or a battery charger and cable to carry with you.

Just buy a portable charger...there are some really good ones out there. They aren't big and it's really not a big deal to take a small charger and a cord with you.

Just plug it in, toss it in your bag!

I agree with the portable charger, or if you want to spring for a bit more a charging case. That being said, we only charged our phones at night and never ran low on battery. We used them for pictures (though we don't take many anymore), checking/changing FP times and checking wait times and of course checking up on Facebook and emails waiting on the bus.

Portable charger is the way to go. I use a Mophie Juice Pak Air on long days and my iPhone lasts from 6am to 11pm with about 60% - 70% battery remaining. I use my iPhone as my camera so it is turned on & off a lot throughout the day!

Wouldn't want to sit around waiting for it to charge.

It was harder than I thought to find a wall outlet for my plug-in charger, but located one at the MK in Gaston's Tavern in the room to the right of the service counter.

We enjoyed our LeFou's Brews while my phone charged up enough to last me through the day.

I was at AK and both my camera and phone died (I thought my phone was off but it was on)! I went to one of the gift shops near the safari ride and they had a portable charger with a micro USB and an iphone cable for charging. It takes 4 AA, which it included with the charger for $15. It fit in my purse so while I was walking around and doing some of the rides, it charged my phone. It charged my phone in about 2 hours to about 90% (I wanted to use the phone and didn't bother plugging it back in).
