We are so close to 2021 announcements! :cool1:I booked a place holder in August on the Fantasy I did not list a TA. Can I still use a TA with this place holder and id so how would I go about doing that? Thank you!

I believe you're likely out of time to transfer it to a TA - it has to be done within 30 days of booking the placeholder, not 30 days from when you convert it to a real booking.

Were you booked with a TA on your August cruise? If yes, your placeholder may have automatically transferred to your TA without you having to do anything. My placeholders automatically transfer to Costco since I book all our cruises thru them.

Can you explain the placeholder? I get your reserving a “spot” on a future cruise. I guess my question is are u prompted ahead a time on sail dates?

. You have exactly two years to travel to use the placeholder or the deposit (250.00) gets returned to you. So I booked one last week on the Fantasy and must travel by 2/15/2022 to get the 10% discount

A placeholder booked onboard gives you the opportunity to book a cruise with the (currently) 10% onboard booking discount. Placeholders are typically used when someone wants a cruise on a date that is not yet available for booking -- for example, someone cruising this week who wants to take another cruise in January 2022 could book a placeholder onboard and book an actual cruise when the 2022 cruises become available.

My experience when I've had a placeholder booked is that Disney Cruise does not contact me about choosing a date. I book through a travel agent, who usually does send me an e-mail when bookings are about to open for new dates.

When I let a placeholder expire unused (2 years after I booked it) last year, the deposit was automatically credited to the credit card I'd used to pay it. I noticed only because I saw the credit on my credit card bill; no one notified me.
