I have seen Illuminations from the Chefs de France, but is there anywhere else that is good along the World Showcase for a late ressie?

Rose and Crown is the only restaurant with a significant number of tables with a view of the show. However, only 30% of their tables have such a view, they don't allow you to reserve those specific tables when you make your reservations for dinner, and almost every single guest dining there at night would like to be seated at one of those table. We've been very lucky, having gotten a table with a view of the show three times out of the eight times we've had dinner at Rose and Crown during Illuminations. If you're game for those odds, then I heartily recommend taking your chances there. The food and service are great, and even if you don't get one of the coveted tables, you can still stand at the back of the patio during the show.

If you don't have your heart set on a TS restaurant, the Cantina de San Angel has an excellent view of Illuminations. We were there last week and were able to snag a waterfront table about 1 1/2 hours before showtime. Some people in our family ate while others rode Maelstrom and El Rio del Tiempo and then we switched. The food was so-so, but the view was very good.
