PJ's at a hotel...appropriate?

Heck, I go all around the hotel in my jammies! But, then again, I'm 14. =] But I wouldn't think anything of it, just "I bet that's a DISer, and I should offer a Ziploc." =p

And about the comforter, I TRIPLE DOG DARE YA!! Hehe.

LOL, I make sure to have special jammies that I can wear in public just for running around the hotel. :teeth:

I'll wear my jammies to go get ice. Heck I wear them to class sometimes. Take me as I am. I'm not revealing anything so kiss my booty. I'm on vacation and could careless what people think of me. That's just my thoughts on it though.

Considering my PJ's are basically a pair of very casual/relaxed pants I bought to come home from the hospital in after having my first baby. They were not PJ's to even start with, usually paired with a T-shirt and DH wears sweatpants & a T-shirt. Neither one of us would feel necessarily comfortable doing it in a crowded lobby but I'm certianly not going to get dressed to go down to get ice in the middle of the night!!

Most places I have stayed always have an ice machine on your floor though, so it's quite common to see people trapsing down there in their slippers & PJ's.

Doesn't even phase me but I have never seen anything that would be considered revealing or indecent either, usually it's the long printed pants with a t-shirt, sometimes with a robe & sometimes not.

I agree with your DH, somewhat.

If the pajamas are modest and "cover everything" then I see no reason why a person shouldn't walk down the hall to get a bucket of ice.

My DH wears flannel sleep pants and a t-shirt. I don't think it would be inappropriate if he was wearing them, threw on some shoes and went to get a bucket of ice.

Goodness, in campgrounds you see men in their pajamas, women in their nightgowns and robes, walking to/from the bath/shower house.

It depends what they look like. I wouldn't care as long as they aren't see through and nothing can slip out. :teeth:

ITA.....

Thanks guys! Now I have this image of filthy comforters and nasty remote controls. :lmao:

So let me get this straight, jammies are OK when fetching ice nearby, but if having to pass by a group of people then clothes might be better. Right? I usually wear sweats to bed anyway so I will not be wandering the halls of the AKL in my lingerie. (Now that's a scarier thought than licking the comforter :rotfl2: :scared: )

I don't see the big deal as long as your PJs aren't pasties and a g-string or something.

We're leaving for WDW in a few minutes, and I'm wearing PJ pants for the ride down. I wear them throught the resort. I don't really care.

OK but for $20 bucks you have to whip up something pretty special in your crockpot AND make a grilled cheese sandwich with an iron :lmao:

Sorry OP, it's just one of those nights  :rotfl:

Gimme 15 through paypal and I'll lick it AND post a picture of it during our trip next week! :rotfl2:

I know lots of pajamas are made to look like lounging clothes/sweats, but I personally wouldn't wear anything that LOOKED like pajamas outside of my hotel room. I would just feel funny about it. I would never wear a robe in the hallway of a hotel--but I wear one out in my backyard when I bring my dog out in the AM. Go figure!

I don't want to meet up with anyone wearing pjs in the hallway of my hotel. I don't care how much they cover up they are still pjs. Thankfully I've never run into THAT at the hotels I've stayed at. Not even the Poly have I run into such a thing.

If the ice machine was on my floor and I didn't have to walk through the lobby to get there, I would stay in my PJ's or maybe put on my robe. If it required me to get in an elevator or go through the lobby at all, I would change.
What she said! :)

I'll tell Tom not to bother leaving the light on for you. :lmao: ;)

hah..well
im 16 and i do it all the time :cool1:
but my "pjs" are usually just pajama pants and a t shirt.
i think "shoot, im never gonna see these people again"

but just go with whatever your comfortable with.
it should matter about what people your never gonna see again think
:goodvibes

psh i wear my pjs to school sometimes
cuz thats just how i do :cool1:

I've done it many times.
But my jammers are long pants with a matching t-shirt type top. Nothing revealing or tacky. But I agree with everyone who says they would not get in an elevator or waltz by the front desk. I guess I kind of agree with your DH that it is one big pajama party :dance3:

Heck, I'll even pool hop at the Poly while Skiwee is there!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm just kidding Skiwee, like Cantw8 said.....it is one of those nights. :teeth:

My pajamas are a tshirt and pants, so I just throw on flipflops and head down the hall for ice. I would cringe if someone was walking down in their teddy or something. ;)

I wouldn't go walking through the lobby of a major hotel in them, though. Would just feel weird... I'd rather throw on jeans.
