Are you a fan of the chain pizza places like Pizza Hut or Dominos? Or do you have a great little mom-and-pop place that you like to go to? Or are you really talented and make your own?

I love pizza of just about any type. We used to go to California Pizza Kitchen and try their different types (BBQ chicken, Southwestern, etc) but since we moved we are resigned to buying the frozen CPK versions. No matter, I don't think I've ever had a slice of pizza I didn't like! :goodvibes

if i want it delivered i order dominoes. but if i am out and want pizza i go to the pizza hut. i love pizza and have been craving it for a while now.

i used to love east of chicago pizza. but we don't have that down here.

I usually order Pizza Hut as they let me order online. I love online ordering for some reason. Every once in awhile I will get a craving for Dominos or some other little known pizza place. The only pizza I can't eat is Papa Johns. I had it one time and it just tasted so horrible to me.

I've got a great mom and pop pizza place in my town. They deliver and they are not expensive. Pizza Hut and Dominos are a sad excuse for pizza, imho. The best pizza in the world came from a great little place in Brooklyn (of course, where else?) Sadly, the only pizza I couldn't eat was in WDW. Sorry, but nobody on Disney property can make pizza. They make Pizza Hut look gourmet!

In DE we have "Grottos"...it started at the beach and has spread to northern DE. It's the best around, no contest.

We have two great local places within 10 minutes of the house. But if we are ordering for delivery we usually call Papa John's.

Coming from New York, I'm a pizza snob. No one down here can make pizza!

But, as I do love pizza, I order from Rossi's, a family owned restaurant not to far from home. They come closest with their pizza attempt, and their stuffed shells and manicotti are to die for.

For delivery: Either Dominos or Pizza Hut, whichever has a better coupon at the time
For pickup: Papa Johns (the one nearby has a pretty good discount for one of the groups I belong to, but only on pickup orders)
Dine in: CiCi's ... fresh pizza buffet for $4? Can't be beat

Back home: Pizza House or Pizza Depot or Cottage Inn

Local place, I think I have had Dominos and Pizza Hut once each and that was when I was out of state on vacation.

The only pizza places around here that will deliver to my house are the mom and pop places and well, their subs are far better than their pizza. So we generally keep the freezer stocked. Used to stock it with Tombstone Pizza, but we've just discovered Digiorno (ok how the heck do u spell that?).
If I want pizza at a pizza place I like Pizza Hut best. Again we don't have too many options, but Pizza Hut is my favorite of what we've got. Unfortunately stepdad doesn't like it so I haven't had Pizza Hut pizza since we were at the Vistana in 2002

When we order, usually Papa Johns. But we do have a little hole-in-the-wall pizza place that is open all night that dh and I use to get in college when we first lived together, after getting home early am from going out. The pizza is HORRIBLE but they have some really great cheesesticks that was great after drinking. Neither of us have really drank in years but we will still order the cheesesticks when we are up late at night just for memory sake.

For pickup, we get Pizza Hut usually because they are so close. We don't do delivery because they charge us a dollar, which DH thinks is ridiculous. :confused3

For dine-in, we used to go to CiCi's in The Colony, but they closed down so now we have to go to CiCi's in Frisco, which is farther away for us. :guilty: We tried Pete's Pizza Buffet, but the only advantage they had over CiCi's is that they (Pete's) has an ice cream machine as part of their buffet.

We're going to try Gatti's Place which recently opened up, but I suspect it's like a Chuck E. Cheese (which I don't like) pretty soon I think.

I despise Pizza Hut and Dominoes. I'm a pizza snob.. I order from local places or make my own with,Provolone, mozzarella and Parmesano reggianno cheeses

Isn't funny that this subject comes up tonight...check out the pizza we made earlier for dinner....it was awesome. Slid it from the baking sheet you see here onto a pizza stone that was in the oven...that's why there's sooo much flour on the baking sheet. Pay no attention to the weight watchers scale that is on the island right next to the pizza. I've lost 72 pounds over the last year and I took tonight off to have home made pizza !!!!

Only the chains deliver around here, and only a couple will deliver to our house. So, if we are going to have deliver, it's Dominos.

Being from Northern NJ originally, we are NY-style pizza snobs. Dominos does the job if we don't want to go out. BUT...on the other side of town, a pizza place opened by a family FROM Brooklyn. It is JUST like home. But, they don't deliver. So, we have to be willing to drive the 40 minutes round-trip to go get it. I'd say we have it 1/2 of the time. :flower:

Hey neighbor...That pizza looks wonderful
Congrats on the weight loss

I used to have a small pizza parlour in town that I regulary went to-we all know it as CiCis :cool1: I still go to them from time to time, and think it's pretty cool that they are rapidly growing!

I now favour Pizza Hut and the California Pizza Kitchen.

Thank you very much, it hasn't been easy, but worth all the effort, 18 pounds more...not far now. We're in Westerly.

I love pizza hut for delivery. I like for the mom and pops place Allen Stones Baked Pizzas.
