Pizza, Pizza. Where do you buy yours?

I like all pizza. Even bad pizza is better than no pizza. We will eat from any of the chains and like them all for different reasons. But our fave is a little mom and pop store a few blocks away. Its run by a little old asian couple that are too cute. Not only is the pizza great (even cold in the am) they deliver and let you write checks, even on the delivery. They are also extremely resonable. Plus, the place is clean and they seem to like what they do.

I love pizza homemade, frozen, delivery, pizza shops, any way you slice it I will eat it (except Papa Murphy's), but out of the pizza delivery chains I like a few things from each:

Pizza Hut: Love the Pizza (hand tossed or pan) and the Breadsticks
Papa Johns: Love the cheese bread with garlic dipping suace
Dominos: Love those cinnamon sticks
Carbone's: Tasty thin crust pizza

The only problem is that I live in a Pizza delivery dead zone! Places Either do not deliver north of the major street we are off or do not deliver south of the major street to the north of us :guilty: Anyone else in a pizza delivery dead zone?

Here in NC and other Southern State, we have Pizza Inn, which is my favorite pizza in the world (and I have eaten pizza in many states and countries!). Most of them do deliver, but there's not one where we live, so when we visit our families in eastern NC, we always stop in for their fantastic lunchtime buffet.

For ds and friends, usually get the $5 little caesars. They're gone in an instant. Also like Papa John's when they have specials and occasionally Pizza Hut. We occasionally splurge and get take home to bake from Nick and Willy's--they also have a great thai chicken salad!

Either I make it myself or order Pizza Hut. I haven't found a local joint that I like yet but hope to soon!! I'd love to support a small business and have great pizza but we've been disappointed in the past. I need to ask around for recommendations =)

making it yourself is so much cheaper but does take more time, obviously. Still fairly easy!

I love pizza of all kinds, it has to be really terrible for me not to eat it! We can only get Domino's at our home but I love Pizza Hut pan pizza. I think the absolute best pizza in our area though is Sbarro's, yes it is a chain but the same family has been running the business forever and their pizza is far superior to any other Sbarro's I have ever tried, you'd think they would taste similar but they don't. The only delivery pizza I don't like is Papa John's, I think it tastes sweet.

We either get Round Table or a NY Style pie from a local place. Round Table is the only chain we order from, but I think they are just on the west coast/Hawaii.

Here in Tampa, I think the best pizza comes from a place called CDB's. As a matter of fact, it is my favorite place for Italian food, period.

We do sometimes order from Pizza Hut though, because we can order online and they deliver (yes, we are lazy, because the place they deliver from is less than a mile away. :rotfl: ) Occasionally we will eat at CiCi's pizza if we are out.

And I CANNOT STAND Papa Johns, to me I would rather have a frozen pizza.

There is a great chain up and down the east coast (from PA down) called Vocellis. They have pretty good pizza.
Donato's here in Florida is also not bad.

I recently discovered that Pizzeria Uno of Chicago makes frozen pizzas when I was shopping at Albertson's. I tried the Sausage Pizza, and for a frozen pizza, it is to die for, it's soooooooooo good!!!!! :lovestruc

The best frozen pizza I've ever eaten, IMHO.

Yum, Yum!!!! :flower:

I am a pizza snob and believe chicago has the best pizza. I really haven't had a bad pizza in Chicago, but when I travel I don't like the pizza as much. I think Chicago uses more grease!

There is a wonderful pizza joint in NY called Leo's that is my all time favorite! YUM I could go for a white pizza with tomato and basil now.

We have a chain (Giordonio's 1/2 block from our house). While we like their pizza we love the pizza from a local mom and pop much better. So we normally order from them.

Maybe it is because I'm from NJ (JC), but Domino's and the fake pizzas are unacceptable. We'll go to Romeo's or LaStrada, or to Giuseppe's.
