Pizza outside WDW

Where have you found pizza outside the world that you would call "really good pizza"?

Giordano's Chicago stuffed pizza. They have a couple of WDW area locations.

Another vote for Giordano's. Also, restaurant . com almost always has sales, we've gotten $25 and $50 gift certificates for $2 and $3.

That's our choice as well. Their pizza is really good.

We were just in Orlando and went to Flipper's on Sand Lake Road. Amazing pizza - we used to live in Florida and it was the best pizza I ever had in the state of FL!

However, it's closer to Universal than Disney, so not really so convenient.

Others rave about Giordano's deep dish pizza, but I haven't been there.

(OOPS - somehow I missed all the posts above mine - I must be tired! What they all said - and I didn't know Flipper's had multiple locations).

I agree with Giordanos,Unos and Flippers and I'll add one as well that is outside Disney,Louie's Italian inside Universal Studios,something about the pizza there I really like,I don't know if it's the bread or what but I always end up eating there at USF.They sell it by the slice or with a ceasar salad but I always get the whole pie which is like $17 for 6 slices.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Papa John's? Blech. I would rather eat Cici's Pizza which, while not particularly good, is quite cheap!

ETA: As a Chicago pizza lover Uno's is okay but I rarely eat it outside of the Windy City because the franchises are not the same as the pizza I grew up with.

ETA2: I think that Via Napoli's pizza in Epcot is outstanding!

I agree, what's up with Papa John's,it's not that it's unedible but it's like saying McDonalds has some of the best burgers in Orlando,of course we eat there but it can't be categorized as a "best".As far as Uno's,I still do like it especially since I live in a Chicago style pizza free zone,(if anyone wants to open an Uno or Giordano's in S.Fla come on down as there are none).Uno's apparently has a technique for cooking their deep dish pizzas faster which don't make for a bad pizza but I feel the depth of the pizza is not what it used to be,seems a bit thinner than Giordano's where you have to wait over 30 minutes for it to come out of the oven.

But, I'd go on to suggest that Papa John's is a distant third. Go with flippers if you like a thinner pie. Go with Giordano's if you like stuffed.

We tried Flippers last week- it was pretty good! It is New York style pizza. We also had garlic breadsticks- yummy! and I had a chopped Italian salad- also yummy. There is a location very close to Downtown Disney at the Crossroads Shopping Center.

As a FL resident originally from Chicago, nothing compares to the pizza from my city of original. But Flippers is pretty darned tasty. We live near one and order either from there, Papa John's or Giordano's on 192 when we want deep dish.

I appreciate the post. Great question I never thought of asking. Just ordering a pizza and hanging out at our condo or hotel sounds great after a busy theme park day. I'd go for the New York style or the deep dish for sure, but what do you know my kid's favorite is Papa Johns (definately something I'd skip, but I frequently order a small one of these for them if we're ordering pizza.
