Pizza Delivery ??

Has anyone tried the pizza delivery service that the moderates and value resorts offer?? How is it and how expensive is it??

Some people love it, some people hate it. I personally could do without it. I just think it is mediocre compared to delivery pizza. Just FYI, the local pizza delivery locations will deliver to the hotels on Disney property (you just have to meet them in the hotel lobby at most of the resorts...they will tell you that on the phone though)... Here are the numbers for the local delivery places that I know of, might be something to tuck away in your travel folder for future reference:

I plan on ordering from Giordano's after hearing good things on the boards about them. I'm not real keen on resort pizza (been there, tried that, won't again)!

Thanks for the info - we can't stand the resort pizza but always wonder about getting something delivered. Great to have those #s. How long does it take? Do they deliver to all resorts?

I wouldn't do pizza delivery from a resort. The pizzas are often okay, but the delivery charges and such are high. I'd just save the money and pick it up (or order elsewhere).

There is no delivery charge. Just tip the driver Hubby and I always order from them at least one night when we stay.

Also, Jugglinfish... They do deliver to ALL Disney resorts, if you are staying at the All Stars or Animal Kingdom Lodge the numbers I gave you might not be the ones you need, but they will direct you to the correct location (or you can ask at the front desk, they will give you the numbers)...those hotels are actually in Osceola County, not Orange County like the rest of property, so while there are pizza delivery locations for them, they might not be the ones I have the numbers for. They usually take about 45 minutes to deliver (or so) just depends on when you order and if they are busy. The best thing about it is that they are open LATE... Dominons for example delivers until 3am.

Giordano's has the BEST stuffed spinach pizza. Absolutely wonderful!

Has anyone tried Flippers??? And how about Chinese or Japanese Delivery to the resorts???? Does anyone know of any good restaurants that deliver to Disney Resorts???

Every time I've had chinese food in Florida I'm disappointed. They just don't make it like they do in the north east I guess. If someone could recommend some good chinese food that would be great!! And I can never seem to find a dunkin doughnuts......

I can relate to the Chinese food being great in the north east. We are originally from NJ and have been living in Colorado for 10 years now. If you think Florida chinese food is bad, you should try some Mile High Chinese food. Also, I really miss Dunkin' Donuts!

I had a similar question about pizza and will be ordering from Giordano's in Feb while I'm visiting..to be on the safe side ( since I don't think POR will have a menu on hand) I just printed out a copy of their menu so I would have a better grasp of what to order and prices and such....I've also heard Flippers is good but hands down, our fellow pizza Disney pals say Giordano's is the way to go..

Just wanted to add my opinion of Giordano's pizza, being from Chicago, where they are from (I believe all of their outlets are in the Chicago area, with the exception of 2 in the Orlando area?). My entire family LOVES their pizza, and we have been eating it for years! If you are in the mood for a BIG meal try their stuffed pizza. My DH and I enjoyed Florida Giordano's on our honeymoon, as they have a restaurant offsite, very close to Downtown Disney. Very good pizza, even out of Chicago.

We ordered room service pizza on our last trip, at the WL, and it was passable, but nothing I would order again. If I had realized that the local pizza places delivered to Disney Resorts, I definitely would have gone that route!
