pizza delivery tip?

I would tip REALLY big bucks to get a pizza delivered where I live.

But - as some of you have mentioned...there just isn't pizza delivery to where this country girl lives...

I tip the pizza guy/girl usually $2.00. It used to be more before the pizza companies started adding their delivery charge. I know the delivery guy does not get the delivery fee, but as a customer, that is not really my problem.

I know that doesn't sound nice, but it is more about the national pizza places that charge the delivery fee. Why does Pizza Hut need to charge a delivery fee? That has made me change to more local places or go to pick them up.

I usually tip a flat $5 for food delivery. Most of the time, that works out to ~20%. Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less but I think it averages out in the delivery guy's favor since we order frequently from the same places.

For a larger one time order in the OP, I'd go with $10.

lol after all my worrying about it one of the moms said she would run and get it I gave her some of the left over pizza for a tip!!
