Pizza debate

Pepperoni and pineapple is great. Canadian bacon and pineapple is too.

I'm not a fan of pineapple in a stuffed crust, or deep dish, however. Those two types have a bit too much of the things that would clash with the pineapple for my taste.

I love pineapple and I love pizza. I just don’t like them together because I don’t want sweet things on my pizza. I wouldn’t put any type of fruit on it.

I don't really care for pineapple that much and I definitely don't like ham (the main thing pineapple seems to be paired with on pizza).


I LOVE chicken on pizza. Chicken, bacon and spinach on a pizza with white sauce is my absolute favorite.

Like I said, I will eat it, but not something I would order. My mom kind of overdosed me on chicken during the beef boycott in 1973. Chicken was all we could afford. And of course, my wife loves chicken.

Not something I would order, but not something I'm actively against. You have to be careful with it though, if they end up getting too much juice on the pizza it ends up doing bad things to the cheese coverage.

Don't really care for pineapple on pizza but I also don't think it's a "sin against cooking". My favorite type of specialty pizza is a Buffalo chicken pizza, though sometimes I hate that it's not spicy enough for me.

That's me. I don't really care for sweet with meat, either. Nor do I care for hot pineapple (or most fruits hot).

We’re starting a pizza business. Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza. But sometimes what they’re calling pizza isn’t really pizza. And Jersey makes the best pizzas hands down - better than NYC.

I was always very anti-pineapple on pizza - definitely didn't like it the first couple of times I tried it. But DS and DH like it, and one place they got it from was somehow done differently, and I liked it better. I still wouldn't order it for myself, but I have more of an open mind now.

If I like it with cheese and/or tomato sauce, I will put it on a pizza. I do NOT like pineapple with cheese OR with tomato sauce so it's a BIG NO from me. Italian spices on pineapple don't really sound very appetizing either.

I don't see how chicken would be bad on pizza because I like it with cheese and I like it with tomatoes. That said, I wouldn't really want chicken with my pepperoni so I probably wouldn't put it on a combo. If it was the only meat I had handy and I was making pizza at home I would make a chicken pizza. Bread, tomato sauce, Italian spices, cheese, veggies all work with chicken for me.

To each their own. I love pineapple on my pizza but won't go near anchovies. There's no right or wrong, only personal preference.
