I am late in reading the thread but congrats Sandi! I know that you have been interested in adding on for sometime now. Hopefully I will be in your place some day 
Like the compromise you and DH came up with. We have a couple of smaller BLT contracts as well and I never thought of doing what you did. It is a good way to get to the "total" number of points you want if you can't find the resale contract in the exact amount you need. Hopefully the ROFR will be quick and you will be using those points before you know it!
