Just got a phone call from Texas... my cousin is in labor. This is her 4th pregnancy- 1st time she's carried full term..(2 early miscarraiges, 1 late)...Her husband, is in Alaska (on a plane right now)...he's in the Air Force, and was/is training in Alaska...she was suppose to have a C-Section late tomorrow. Matt was due in early tomorrow morning..
She went to docs for check-up...found her to be 4cms. She was able to contact Matt, and the Air Force was able to move his leavea day....help him with his flights etc... Matt is due there at 10pm...last update was about 10 minutes ago...she's now 7cms..
Matt is due for deployment to Iraq in January...this is the last leave before that. he's VERY lucky he got it....His unit has been told to plan on a 18 month tour...his leave is 7 days long...
Please send Pixie Dust to El Paso...hoping that Matt makes it in time, and that mom/dad/baby are doing well.

Baby Dominic was born last night approx 10:30 El Paso time...Matt did NOT make the hospital, he was at baggage claim when he got the call. When my aunt called, the baby was being weighed, and we don't have that info yet...apgar was a 9, all is well. Dad is there with mom and baby....she'll be in the hospital until Saturday...and then home with Dad for 5 days until he heads out. Thanks to everyone for the pixie dust and prayers!
