My poor Tiggr33...she has a really bad toothache, she went to the dentist yesterday and found out she needs to have a large filling put in. If that isn't enough of a headache :headache:- the filling has to be done very close to the nerve...

A little pixie dust pixiedust: would make her feel a lot better for her appointment on Thursday.

So please wish her well, and that she has as little pain as possible! I can't go with her, since I have an appointment with my new MD at the same time :sad2:

What my other half didn't mention. I have really bad TMJ problems (I have almost no meniscus on the left side). And becuase of it, I have alot of jaw discomfort (been dislocated) after novacaine. For small cavities, normally, I white knuckle it, and go without. But this time it's BIG. I will be loading up on xanax and putting some relaxing music on my ipod. My dentist squeezed me in yesterday for xrays, and was going to do the work then, but felt I needed an hour long appointment. I may call out of work, to be that much more relaxed when I get to the appointment.

Oh gosh. {{hugs}}} Sounds dreadful. :( I hope all goes well for you and there are no problems or ANY discomfort with the procedure.

Good Luck! Ask for the gas!

And remember to stock up on soft foods for the next few days!:grouphug:

Excellent excuse to have lots of banana smoothies. Hope it all goes well.:goodvibes

Thanks everyone. The tooth feels better, no pain today.....does that mean I don't have to go??????

YES! You still have to go!

The same thing happens to me, every time I make some sort of medical appointment the problem mysteriously disappears the day before I go to the Doc or DDS! :confused3

My Denist said, I may have dodged a bullet. The decay was close to the nerve. He really thought based on the xray, and my complaint of heat sensitivity that he would have gone in and had to do a root canal. When he got in, he was able to clean it out. And put in a rather large filling. I go back tomorrow for a follow up and more xrays. So far, just a little overall teeth pain. Just the novacaine wearing off, I hope. I really did dodge two bullets. Hopefully saving the tooth was one. The other, when he applied the topical anesthetic (sp) I made a scooby doo, Rut Ro noise. I asked him what flavor it was, he replied Pina Colada. ........Doc, did you forget I'm allergic to coconut?!?!?!?!??!? Luckily after checking, it was made with all artificial flavoring.

Thank you one and all - Tiggr33 seems to have weathered the visits well! We went to her favorite buffet tonight and ate, ate, ate! She was fine until she tried ice cream (silly gryl!)

Now she is sleeping off the sugar/carb high...I think she will be fine!

All the Pixie Dust definately helped...

Thanks again:cheer2:
