Need lots of pixie dust please, called my guide to waitlist for a contract at VWL use year December. I really want to claim VWL as my home as well as SSR!!!!

Oh by the way he said the only resort they are currently offering MB for is Vero Beach.

Good luck. A few months ago I also got put on the waitlist for December VWL for an add on of 70 points. I was pretty far down the list so I just added onto our BCV contract instead.
Did they tell you how far down you were on the waitlist? Hoep it will eb shorter for you.

Shan- I couldn't find out where I was on the waitlist he said "Nancy" who is in charge of the waitlist was out of the office but I plan on calling next week to find out. I was wondering if it would be a while because he was really trying to convince me to add more to the 200 we have at SSR and not waitlist but I have my heart set on VWL at Thanksgiving/Christmas time. I told him to put me down for 60-100 points but would realistically only be able to afford 70 right now, ofcourse if it doesn't go through for a few months I could maybe afford more then.
I really would like enough to stay in a studio for 5 -7 days during thanksgiving or January. With 70 I could borrow and do this every other year.

I was estimating about a year and a half to two years before I woudl get it based on what my guide told me and another poster on here who was also on the waitlist for December use year. She had been on the waitlist for about six months already I believe. I also wanted VWL for my kids' winter break. But, I was just too impatient and couldn't handle the waiting. BUT, I also knew my hoem resort BCV was about to sell out. I actually ended up on BCV's waitlist for a few days before they called me. Thatw as my worry. I wodul end up waiting and waiting for VWL and in the menatiem lost the opportunity to add onto my home. You situation is different. You don't ahev to worry about SSR selling out any time soon. If I were you I'd wait a littel bit and see how you move up on the waitlist. As much as I wanted VWL I think it will be easier for me keeping up with booking windows and poinst thsi way. Just keep in mind SSr has that longer contract date. That si another thing I regret - not waiting until the deal for SSR was annouced. We are in our early 30s. I think the longer contrcat date woudl have been nice. Good luck!

Shan- I totally agree with an SSR add on being next on my list as I am just 28. Financially it would be better for me if the VWL waitlist took a while but I wanted to go ahead and get in line since I figured it would take a while. If I don't get it in the next year then I look at either waitlisting for BCV or adding more on at SSR.
Thanks for the heads up with the time frame, If I count on 1 1/2 years waitlist and it happens to come through sooner then that will just be WONDERFUL!!

Since it doesn't have far to travel, my pixie dust offering should hit pretty fast! We added on at BWV pretty soon after we bought our first SSR contract. We were lucky that there was a small contract (40 pts.) available for our use year. We added an additional contract at SSR on Oct. 30 so we could get the extra $10 off. I wanted to add on at VWL too, but I am hoping we can get in at the 7 month window. If that doesn't work out, we will either go resale or get on the waiting list too.
