Pixar Play Parade

Hi! I've never seen the Pixar Play Parade and was wondering what everyone's opinion of it is. How long is the parade? I know it's at Sunshine Plaza but what is the best viewing spot and when do you guys usually get there? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

We saw it back in March and absolutely loved it!!! We were at the corner of Sunshine Plaza and Condor Flats. I arrived about 30 minutes before the parade and reserved a spot for four of us in front.

I sat on a bench near Wine Country Trattoria (looking out toward Paradise Pier) and had a great view. I arrived about thirty minutes before the parade started.

Thank you so much for the quick replies! It seems like 30 minutes in advance is a good rule so I will try that out on my upcoming trip

Loved it! We arrived 10 min before start time at the Sunshine Plaza end of June and got a seat on the curb right up front. I loved seeing all the Pixar characters because they are my favorite. I took pics but it was trickey because they squirt you and I was trying to not let my camera get wet. Several of the dancers even said Happy Birthday to my DH who was wearing his Bday pin.

It really varies now... I do believe walls are going up in the sunshine plaza in a few months... :\

Eek...do you know why they are putting up walls? I'm going to to DL next week so I should be fine although I do plan on going again in the upcoming months...

The DCA Expansion/Upgrading. I dont know when walls are going up when but they do affect crowding for parades, like between Golden Dreams to the Golden Zephyr is all walls right now. Its suppose to "so what ive heard" be a one way traffic soon. meaning if you went to eat at Ariels Grotto, you would have to walk ALL the way around the pier to go back to Disneyland...

Thanks for the explanation! I don't plan on going to Ariel's Grotto this time but thanks for the heads up. Any other construction blocks that I should be aware of in DCA? I do plan on hitting up TSMM at least a few times...do you know the quickest way to get there?
