Pixar Play Parade: Best Viewing Spot(s)?

Any advice about the best viewing spots for the Pixar Play Parade? The route looks pretty long; are crowds pretty evenly dispersed? At which end of the park does it start? On days where there are two parades, does each run in an opposite direction?

We were about mid parade route but we were also in DL in late September and crowds were not as crazy. They were evenly spread out and both DS and DD were right at the front and got tons of high fives and hugs. It was amazing. We found a spot an hour before the parade and had someone go grab dinner and bring it back. Both kids were ready for a break at that time as well so it worked out great. GL

Thanks, Casey. Which way does the parade run? How about if there are two parades? I'm going in early September, when park hours are short.

The parade goes from Hollywood Land to Paradise Pier, and if there is a second parade, it goes the other way. Because it's such a long parade route, almost every time I've seen it lately, there are tons of great spots to find right before. It's not like Soundsational where you can be 5-6 people deep in spots.

My personal favorite spot is right across from the Carthay Circle, with your back to the fountain, but with such a long parade, there will be all kinds of good spots available.

i would watch it near a ride so as soon as the parade end, head on over to the ride....less wait time. i know mulholland madness (that's the old name, i don't remember the new name) closes during the parade. that's a good place to watch the parade and then go ride the ride.
