Pixar Place Hotel DCA Entrance Permanently Closing

It's also perplexing because it seems like the PP entrance was a huge perk for DVC members. It's so convenient to the GC DVC wing. Even for DL DVC folks it was convenient to walk across to the PP entrance.

This entrance literally changed the way we stay. Its silly, but seriously we always stayed offsite until one trip we happened to plan far enough in advance to book GCV. I loved that entrance so much we stayed there again the next trip, and then the next two were at Pixar Pier. Without it I'm back to just staying offsite. EE is nice but honestly the line is so long I usually missed it. Never got in line far enough ahead of opening to get through all the security in time to make DL's. CA we did make, but they had two different entries back then...

It says no plan to reopen, so it may reopen at future date. They may be just closing it right now to use the gate for construction on the new Coco attraction. One can only hope.

If it was due to construction it would be much more wise to just say that, most wouldn't be mad if its closing for Coco.

They closed the entrance for many years. It was a shock when they brought it back. Can’t see it happening a third time.

They have much easier access to build Coco than that gate/walkway

This isn't the first reference I've seen to the PPH entrance and Coco construction. According to the images released, Coco will go somewhere in the yellow region in the photo below. The teal path at the top is the walkway for the PPH entrance. It is a walkway along the side of the GCH, not a road. The areas with red lines are roads that provide access to DCA's backlot from Disneyland Drive.

Does anyone know if that entrance has been open for Oogie Boogie Bash entry this year? I know they typically close it at noon now.

Well they are getting rid of EE too! Which really makes me sad. There is no point to stay on site anymore with these changes in 2026

Agreed. As quickly as I jumped back onto the onsite bandwagon with the improvements to PP, I'm back to square one as they've already killed off both. Oh well, saves me $ again!
