Pixar Cruises

We will be on the Oct. 7th sailing. It's my daughters 6th birthday that week so it's a very exciting trip for us. We'll be flying in early to do a couple days at Disney too. Can't wait to hear the trip reports roll in.

We will be going on the Sept 23 Cruise:cool1: Looking forward to seeing all the Pixar Characters:thumbsup2

We board tomorrow for the 9/16. Having Mr. Lasseter speak to us is a dream come true!

We are on the Oct 7 sailing and would love to hear reports from those that sail before us!

We're also on this cruise! Have you gone over to the cruise meets section and found our thread yet? It's here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2695248

Pixar is based in California (Emeryville, near Oakland). If this is real popular maybe they'll do an east coast version.

These cruises were not originally designated as "PIXAR". It was added earlier this year to boost bookings on slower selling cruises. I hope it works out and they do more specialty runs like this in the future.

I'm curious about the pier in San Francisco (which side of pier 35, if you dock forward or backwards, can you see the GG Bridge while docked, etc), the special Pixar merchandise and how crowded the Pixar presentations are (although since the first one is John Lasseter, I expect that to be the most crowded anyway).

We just got off the repositioning cruise which also stopped in San Francisco. We were on the North side of Pier 35 pulled in forwards. The San Francisco cruise ship schedule shows which side of the pier the ship will be on each week. We could see the GG bridge from the ship when it wasn't hiding in the fog. Pier 39 is right next door and an easy walk from where the ship is docked.

There was a lot of Pixar art on the ship so it looked like they were busy preparing. Have a great cruise!

Quick question for you.... Who is currently the CD? We are on the 23rd cruise.:cool1:

Cool! :cool2: We are on the Oct 7th cruise and we will be docked on the south side of pier 35. However, I will be on the wrong side if the Wonder pulls in forward.

Thanks so much for posting this!!! The schedule shows Pier 35 North for the Sept 23rd cruise and we are starboard side so we should be able to see the bridge. :thumbsup2

I've been posting on twitter using #DisneyWonder. Now waiting to see SF.

Thank you so much for the update!!! I hope the clouds clear out and you have a beautiful two days there :thumbsup2

About what time did you get into San Francisco? Dh and I are thinking of getting up early that morning so we can be up on deck when the ship goes under the GG bridge.

We want to do the same thing, I hope it's not too early. We have an inside this time so no view from the room but being out when we sail under would be awesome.
