Pirates and Princesses Party ticket question

Ok, so we will be at Disneyworld during one of the days in Feb that they are having the Pirates and Princesses Party. Do I have to buy an additional ticket for that if Im already in the park that day? Or can we just hang out there all day and go to the party that night? Not exactly sure how that works. Thanks.

I believe you have to buy a separate ticket for the event.

It is a "hard ticket" event. You must have a separate ticket. You may use the tickt to enter MK after 4:00. If you are already in MK you must go out and re-enter with the PPP ticket and get a wristband. They may have locations set up where you can turn in your unused ticket and receive a wristband.

Anyone without a wristband must leave. There are certain locations where they will have "roadblocks" and people without wristbands will be escorted out.
