I hear the alarm, if one can call this thing an alarm and slap and turn it off! I close my eyes wishing that today were not the last day at the parks! I am going to miss it so much! Our goal was to be at the MK when they opened and once again we are lagging behind. I guess that the start of this vacation WAS a sign that we were going to be lagging each morning. You know what? It doesn’t matter! Stressing people out to get to someplace 30 minutes earlier isn’t worth it! Vacations are supposed to be fun!! And that is what we have had!

We drifted into MK about 30 minutes after it opened. I was greeted by the wonderful change of decorations in the MK. They had put up their Christmas decorations and what a magical site. The musketeers have bolted to Pin Trade. Somehow I don’t think that they CM’s are going to miss my circus! But I will miss the excitement that they have had at each trade they made. Cell Phone Charlie and Peyton have meandered off to Splash Mountain to get Fast Passes.

We stopped to catch a few highlights of the show in front of the castle and I looked around. Everyone else must be somewhere else in the park, cause they aren’t on Main Street!!! Since we were supposed to meet Charlie and Peyton at PoC and everyone was engrossed in the castle show I leave and catch up with the older boys. We get there and realize that there is NO LINE and on top of that..... there is NO LINE at Splash Mountain and that Thunder Mountain Railroad is running today!! It wasnt supposed to open until the next day!!

I pinch myself only to realize that today has lots of pixie dust waiting for us! The rest of the traveling circus joined us and was just as excited as I was when they realized what we knew.

We spend the morning doing PoC, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road, the Tiki Room, and Mickey Phiharmagic! The Pirate even went with me to the Tiki Room. There is a story behind the Tiki Room. When Pirate was a little boy, his mother took him to Disneyland frequently and dragged him to the Tiki Room, kicking and screaming! He thought when he left home and got married that would be the end of the Tiki room. Little did he know when he said his ‘I Dos’ that his WIFE LOVED the Tiki Room as well! He playfully moans and groans when I mention it or sing the Tiki Room theme song. It makes me giggle when Princess Erin loves it as much as I do and can’t wait to see it. Poor Pirate has no chance of escape from the Tiki Room for a very, very long time!! We love you Pirate!!!!!

What a fantastic morning! As the day went on, the crowds picked up but for a very brief time today we got to experience a lull and loved it! As we shopped on Main Street we savored the last of the Magic!

On the way out we encountered 3 CM Managers who had the BEST PINS we had seen all week long! Cheergirl Jess was jumping up and down when she realized that she could complete her Pooh Bear Train Set collection and the boys got lanyard pins and me, well I traded for a really cool license plate pin that had PIXIE on it! I had only seen one of these and it was in someone else’s collection! We ended the day on a great note and happy memories!

We boarded the Ferry and loaded up in the car to head to MGM, the last park of the trip! MGM was fairly full of people but we didn’t have to hurry to make our late lunch at the Sci-Fi! This meal is so much fun and kids both large and small get into the spirit of things! Our car hops were fantastic and I was really impressed after Princess Erin accidentally dropped her half eaten corn dog on the ground and the car hop, brought her an entire, fresh meal! I told him it wasn’t necessary, but she was a little sad with her loss and he whisked a new meal to her quickly! Ok this man is getting a great tip! Make the kids happy, it makes the parents happy! He knows the tricks of the trade!

After getting STUFFED we caught the Muppet Vision Show, felt the wind picking up and the saw the sky darkening. A storm was brewing an we wanted to be indoors. We fortunately had Fast Passes and headed to Who Wants to be a Millionaire. This is one of my most favorite shows at MGM. The Pirate tolerates it BUT used to love it, till he actually made it into the hot seat on one trip only to get out on the 2000-point question about perfume! He was NOT a happy camper!! Revisiting WWTBAM just reminds him how he SHOULD have gotten that question!..lol As for me, I just want to see my seat number on the board!

Upon exiting the show we realized the storm had indeed come through and everything had cooled down and was wet! It was our intention to close down the trip by watching Fantasmic but I really didn’t want to risk getting soaking wet and sitting on wet cement to watch this show! We love it, but we have seen it again and have AP’s so we will be going back!

After spending a little more time, making the last pin trades we pack up our crew and head to the condo to begin packing. Everyone’s departures are quite early and we all need our energy for the trip home! As we leave the parking lot, I hear Princess Erin whisper out the window…”goodbye tinkerbell, had fun, see you soon” followed by the sound of a blown kiss! Gosh these kids KNOW I am a sucker for sap!
