The monorail is amazingly one of the highlights of the trip of my kids. I don’t know if it is because they live a very very sheltered life OR, if they are just tired of walking around, but they LOVE it! They always playfully argue over who is going to get to stand up and hold onto the bar thingy, because they love feigning a tumble when the monorail jerks and stops. I KNOW that people must thing we are crazy! I often look at my circus and wonder why I was blessed with a self-contained party, but I love it!!

In 8 trips I had NEVER actually been IN the Contemp.Resort. We always rode through it and I always thought it to lack the ambiance that Disney has of things! I WAS WRONG, it may not have the charm that some of the other resorts have but, I loved it! The view of the lake was stunning and even though the monorail runs through it, it was not as near as noisy as I thought it would be.

We wandered around, found Chef’s Mickey and were greeting so sweetly. We were ushered off to take the CUTEST picture!! (yes, I got it) Pirate enjoyed chilling watching football in the bar until they called our name and the kids spent time, playing the hand slapping game. You know the game where you get 3 trys to slap the other person before they pull away! I AM THE EXPERT of this game, cause I cheat!!

They called our circus to the table while the kids drooled over the desserts! After the waiter explained things and took our drink orders all eleven of us, hit the buffet like puppies that hadn’t eaten in a week!! I still find amusement that even though I pay the adult price for our twins, they still go for the traditional “kids fare”. I don’t care, whatever rocks there boat, but they don’t KNOW what they are missing with those parmesan mashed potatoes!!! I think Cell Phone Charlie, Peyton and Justin must have gone back 3 times each!! I kept an eye on Princess Erin, not wanting to upset the Tiki gods of the stomach! She did really good at eating only what she wanted and declined on the yummy desserts, but took a bite of mine! Ok, so she is GETTING better, but NOT completely well! I can live with that!

The characters were wonderful with the kids, they played and danced and sang with them! I even got to eat my food warm today!

I sat there looking around and kinda thought about the week and how we have celebrated several Thanksgivings at WDW. They were all special and I am very thankful that I have the opportunity to be with my family on this special day. I am thankful that in a time of recession, that my husband has a job (even if it does take him away traveling). I am thankful that I have wonderful friends that love me, for me and love my family for who they are. I am thankful that we had the opportunity to come to WDW. Last, but not least, I am thankful for my family and the circus that they are! About that time when I get to the last of my thank yous…….Mickey gives me a hug! Can it get better than this?? I think so….cause…I HAVE A SURPRISE PLANNED for the rest of the evening!
