Wonder or Magic for Alaska?

DH and I would like to do an Alaskan cruise for our 30th anniversary next summer! So far we've only sailed on the Dream and Fantasy, and we'll sail on the Destiny in March. I'm trying to decide between the Wonder and the Magic next summer. I'd love some input from people who have sailed both ships! I'm leaning towards the Wonder for these reasons...1) the concierge lounge and sundeck look a little nicer 2) Juneau instead of Icy Strait and 3) Saturday-Saturday cruise. BUT we haven't seen any of the shows on the Magic. We'll have seen 2/3 on the Wonder. The dining seems comparable to me. I don't know which has nicer staterooms or adult areas. If you've sailed on both ships (especially in concierge), which would you choose and why? Thanks for your input!

(Correction...the Wonder cruise is Monday-Monday. But that's still better than the Thurs-Thurs on the Magic. LOL)

The Wonder is my favourite ship. She was also my first ship. I have generally found the service a little better on her and the ship is a little better maintained.

I enjoy both the Rapunzel and Tiana dinner shows, I lean a little more towards Rapunzel but she is my favourite princess.

I prefer the atrium theming on the Wonder. The staterooms are identical on both ships although I’ve not done concierge. I don’t think the adult areas have much between them as they are sister ships and really just have different themes in the piano bar and pub.

The shows for me are a clear winner on the Magic as 2/3 shows you can’t see on any other ship (and the other is on the Wonder.) Both Tangled and Twice Charmed are great.

I’ve not been to ISP but Juneau is my favourite port out of the standard ports. I would honestly decide based on if you want to go to ISP or Juneau and which excursion you want to do more. I also prefer the M-M to Th-Th, so I’d probably pick the Wonder despite the shows being better on the Magic.

Thanks! One has a better price, the other a better schedule. LOL I'm leaning heavily towards the Wonder now. Just wish it had different shows.

I haven’t done either ships but I’m doing the Wonder this May. Flying out 2 days ahead on getting on the ship on Monday. Getting off on Memorial Day. So only have to take 6 days off from work.

The Magic is our favorite ship, but the Wonder is close. I agree with go with whichever fits your schedule better, however if the Magic is 8 nights, that's 1 more day!

The trips I'm looking at next summer are both 7!

If you are sailing concierge, the enclosed viewing area up top is great for Alaska, especially on glacier day.

I'm planning to do that glacier port adventure on the smaller boat. Would you still recommend the Magic concierge area over the Wonder?
