HELP!! I need ideas for pirate night costumes (and YES I must have one for each member of my family ;) ). I need to figure something out for me (pooh sized female), my dh and my three ds (9, 6 and 5). After the cruise we are going to MNSSHP and would love it if the costumes could do double duty...IDEAS? TIPS? HINTS? Places to order from? What did you wear? Any other question I forgot to ask...please help someone without an ounce of creative juice (at least this flavor). THANKS!!

I would also LOVE to see any Pirate Night photos any of you have (food, costumes, party, anything). :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thanks in advance!! pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

I bought a ton of pirate themed stuff pirate: from www.deadmentellnotales.com and I got a custom dress (I am pooh sized, too) from a seller on ebay. After my daughter saw my costume, she wanted one too, so I bid on and won a custom wench outfit (she's nine) off ebay for her also.

You can check out Ebay and Orietal Trading. There are some pirate night pics on my filmloop below. I actually wore a boho skirt with a tank top. DD3 and DS1 wore pirate costumes from Gymboree (got one of them from Ebay). pirate:

I'm going to second eBay - there's a place where I got my costume from (or will - I'm waiting a bit close to the cruise as I'm losing weight) I like mistythicket.com sellers. Basically SCA (medeival faires) stuff - but can look very pirate like. Either search for pirate wear (and of course all that black leather crap will come up too...) or SCA and you'll see lots of stuff - AND Pooh sized.

I like fluffy, not fat.

Anyway. Mom and I bought those prairie type skirts at WalMart. I bought a short sleeved "wench" shirt at Old Navy. I have a red faux pashmina to wear around my waist, black isotoner slippers (I'll be comfy and they're light) and hoop earrings. We're good to go.

DH and DS. Bought them "puffy" shirts on ebay. I'll take old pants and cut them off below the knee. Bought the 3 of us matching hats at Oriental Trading. I also bought pirate flags and other pirate stuff to decorate the door. As we are going over 4th of July I bought patriotic stuff too. Get on the mailing list via e-mail before ordering if you have time. They send you codes for free shipping.

I'm a first time Dis cruiser. What is the schedule of events for Pirate Night? We are on the 4 night Wonder leaving May 14th. Is this during dinner and if so do you wear your costume to dinner? Or is it a party after dinner and you go change? I know how everyone feels about "dressing" for dinner, no shorts, but dressed as a pirate? While I'm asking, what other themes are there and when to dress up?

On the 4nt cruise Pirate nite is on the 3rd nite. The same day you stop at CC. If you have the late seating for dinner, like we did, you should def wear your costumes. The entire restaurant's theme is about pirates so you will feel perfectly dressed for the occasion. This is where they give you the bandanas as well. The party is on deck 9 where they have a buffet, singing and dancing. Very cool. We always spent about 2 hours at dinner so we would not have time to change since the party started at 9:45pm. pirate:
