Can anyone tell me if the HotHS party and the Pirate Night are the same nights on a 4 night cruise?

I think they are on 2 different nights. Halloween is definitely by its self. They do a Halloween show on deck that night not the pirate show.

Looked back at my pictures and Captain Hook came out the next night and Dave Jones thing was on the bed. This was 2 years ago though.

I'd see if there are any navigators on disneycruiselineblog that you can check out.

It's been about a decade, but I feel like they were on different nights on a 4 night cruise.

They are different nights. We are doing a 4 nt Halloween sailing on the Wish in September and someone in our FB group posted the schedule.

When do I get the daily schedule showing things like what resataurants are on what night, what night is Pirate night, Halloween night, etc.? Do I get that when I check-in 30 days out or at the 75 day window when I can book activities?

You will find out your dining schedule when you get on board the ship

Pirate night you can tell at your 75 day activities window because Pirates League Makeovers will be available (It's typically night 3 on a 4 night cruise)

When I spoke to customer service they told me they are two different nights. We’re doing a HOTHS cruise in October on the Magic.

Yep it is night 3 on ours, on our Castaway day.

Why did they wait so late to determine that?

I don't know if this is how it works, but unless someone tells me something different:

You figure first they divide the guests into Main and Second dining, then if there are requests for start in x resturant or end in Y restaurant and then play a game of tetris matching groups who left the selections blank with other similar groups, and then plug them into a dining section.

Then they see if they can take people from the second seating who were waitlisted to the first.

They probably don't tell people the rotation any earlier than boarding so that they don't have to deal with a ton of calls about changing to a different rotation, but it also might not be super finalized until close to boarding (or even after boarding depending on the dining requests)

I don’t think they do the sitting chart until a week before. When we were doing a back to back our head waiter asked us if we wanted to stay with the same servers because he was doing the seating chart for the next one.

I’m guessing it is what the person said above to many changes before that.

That makes sense. I didn't know that changing your rotation was even an option. I thought that they gave you restaurant number one, then number two, then number three, then number four and that's just where you ate on that particular evening. I didn't know that you could request a change. If that's the case then I may request a change once we get on board to eat at 1923 twice since I've got to double up one of the restaurants on the four night cruise. I really don't want to eat at the Marvel restaurant twice. I'm not too psyched about Ariendelle as well.

Call DCL (or your TA if you used one) and have it noted on your reservation that you want to dine in 1923 twice. Once you get to the port, connect to the DCL Navigator app in on-ship mode and check your dining schedule. If you still want it changed, head to the dining change location once you get on the ship. If sailing on the Disney Wish, dining changes are typically done in Luna on deck 4.

Well the second night is pirate night, so there's no show and everyone eats the same menu in all the restaurants. The standard 4 night rotation is 1, 2, 2, 3 (assuming pirate night is on night 3).

If you want to eat in 1923 twice (I think it's the only one where you can actually see the water from the restaurant, depending on where you're seated) I would call in and request Pirate night in 1923.

"1" "2" and "3" are not specific dining rooms. It's only used to show what the rotation is. What ever dining room you start in is "1".

So, for example:

A 4 night cruise rotation is 1223.

1/3 of guest complement starts in Lumiere's, 1/3 in Animator's Palate, and 1/3 in Rapunzel's.

So the order of dining rooms is LAAR; ARRL; and RLLA.

I was talking about 1923 the restaurant.

We were on the Dream last Halloween 10/31/23 and they did not have any Halloween activities but the tree lighting (maybe, we didn't go). There were buckets of candy randomly placed around deck 3 to collect candy but they were not staffed with any CMs. You had to know it was there as there was no indication on the nav app that it was happening. To be fair, that was embarkation day but not having a Halloween party on Halloween on a Disney ship was unbelievable. Our cruise FB group was stunned and it was the only way we found out there was candy on deck 3.
