Just off the Fantasy, will post more thoughts and feedback from things I learned here in a bit but thought this one deserved its own conversation.

On Pirate Night (Tuesday), our server shared that it was the last time that one was being served. After 18 years, they are changing the Pirate Night menu beginning on this week's sailings. We were encouraged to try everything as it's "all going away" and all new items are coming.

Hope someone aboard this week can share the new menu once revealed.

It was our least favorite menu of the week, though in theory we like that style of food but the execution was just OK compared to the rest of the week.

HI,

Do you know if the menu change is just for the Fantasy or is it the entire fleet?

Will be interesting to see what 'changes' they make to this very popular menu.

That is great news. Thanks for posting. We normally book Palo for Pirate Night because we dislike the menu so much. The servers often smile or agree with us when we tell them why we won't be in the MDR that night.

Not so sure the menu is popular but rather the opportunity to wear Pirate costumes.

He wasn't clear if it was the Fantasy or all the ships, and I didn't think to ask. I did make a mental note to be sure and share this news, but didn't get the full scoop beyond that.

Before Pirate Night there was Tropical Night onboard for a few years. Pirate Night has been around less than 18 years but that aside, I am going to miss that menu. It is one of my favorites!!! I love the rib salad and the short rib entree.

Tropical night in Parrot Cay was also one of my favorite menus with Coconut Fried Shrimp and Jerk Chicken Wings...yum!!!

Sad to see it go. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I love the ribs, too. Hope they have some type of BBQ meat on the new menu. And the pot stickers.

Wouldn't it be nice if they just combined our favorites from the Pirate and Tropical menus. I'd love the crab cake, coconut fried shrimp and chicken wings - followed by short rib - then the rum raisin sundae. Didn't tropical night have pot stickers as an appetizer also or am I confused?

Yes, perhaps the general menu items and idea from tropical night at its beginning was the 18 years statement. All the same, this is what was shared with me.

The potstickers were too crunchy and over-fried for me, but I am generally a big fan of steamed/sauteed potstickers.

I am so so glad. This is the menu where I struggled every time to find something to eat and would end up with the lighter side salmon. Our friends always booked palo this night because they hated the food.

Add me to the list where Pirate menu was the least favorite, and as of my last cruise I started booking Palo and planned that for future cruises too. The ribs were good when you'd get a good piece of meat and not one that was all fatty, but it was so variable that I quit trying.

I just hope they keep the crab cake... The main courses aren't spectacular, but I order 2-3 of those crab cakes each time!

NO!!!! That chicken was my favorite thing. I ate mine and some of my daughter's. I loved it so much the server gave me the recipe. Of course, I don't cook to feed 50 people at once, so it is difficult to make.

I loved the beef on this menu and will be sad to see it go. I know they have changed the appetizers over the years, removing the chicken wings (and later chicken tenders) but the beef dish was always delicious!

That's a shame... I love the macademia mahi mahi. I hope they will have a similar mahi dish on the new menu.
