Does anyone know much about the pirate cruise? I was wondering about cost, ages, reservations and other??
Any comments??

Hi, my DD took the Pirate cruise out of the Grand Floridian. I highly reccomend this trip! She asks me daily if she can do it again.

It cost $30.01 (that's with tax). It left at 9:30 and came back at 11:30. The took the kids to "ports of call" (the docks at the other hotels). They found pieces of a treasure map & met a pirate along the way. Once they found all of the pieces, they found the treasure chest & dug it up. When they got back to the dock, everyone got their own bag of pirate's booty! They also got pirate ears when they boarded the cruise.

Your child has to be at least 4 & potty trained. They are feed luch onboard (uncrustables, juice box, teddy grahms). I would make reservations as soon as possible. It fills up quickly. Sbella

My boys did this in April and LOVED it!! They are 5 and 7, we took the cruise from the Yacht Club and they took them to two stops at epcot and one at the Boardwalk. It was the highlight of the trip for them!!

I signed up DS5 for our trip in September. You can make reservations 180 days out through Disney Dining. There is also a trip out of Epcot resort area and a new one out of POR. Here is the info from allearsnet.com:

Pirate Adventure - Children wear pirate bandannas and follow clues to search Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon for buried treasure. They sail to many exotic "ports of call" (Resort Marinas) to collect treasure. Children who are potty trained (no pull-ups) and ages 4-10 may attend. Lunch is provided (Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich, Gummy bears, Krispy Treat and Juice box).

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Available to all guests, Cost is $28.17 plus tax.
Reservations 90 days in advance 407-WDW-DINE

My two DS (4,7) are doing this next Month.

Following the success of the Pirate Cruise for kids a the Grand Floridian Resort and Albatross Treasure Cruise at the Yacht Club Resort, and building on the legend of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and movie, the Caribbean Beach Resort will debut the Islands of the Caribbean Adventure Cruise this Tuesday.
As with the other cruises, it is for kids ages 4-10, who must be potty-trained with no pull-ups. Up to 12 young pirates will receive bandannas and follow clues to find treasure, which will be divided up between the lucky crew members. Lunch, in the form of Smuckers Uncrustables sandwiches, juice and snacks, will be served.
The cruise will sail from the Barefoot Bay Boat Yard every Tuesday and will run from 9:30-11:30. It may not yet be available in the main reservation system at the WDW-DINE and WDW-PLAY numbers, so if you can't make a reservation that way, you can call the Barefoot Bay Boat Yard Marina directly at 407-934-2850. The cruise will cost $28.17 plus tax per child ($30.00 including tax).

I know it the ages state 4 -10 but that is a big gap, how old do you think is really to old? My 9 year old would be fine with being with a 4 year old but would he have fun or is it geared more twords the mid range of ages? Anyone have a older child do this and like it??

When my DD took this cruise, the oldest children looked about 9-10 & they had a blast.

A sweet story- on DD's cruise, one of the children was disabled, so his father was allowed to go on the cruise (normally it's no parents). Pirate Bob (dad) was being eyeballed by all of the children when he got on board. Even my DD said "I thought you said no parents". But, when they got back, who was leading the singing but Pirate Bob! When they docked, Pirate Bob & his son were the last to get off the boat. All of the children waited at the end of the dock for him & gave him hugs before they left. :goodvibes Sbella
