pirate cruise questions?

Might take the boys to this someday at the GF. (If I understand it correctly I can sign up w/o staying at the GF.)

What do you usually do during those 2 hours (9:30-11:30 so a little early for lunch)?

How far can you go and still be in range of the pager?

We rented mouseboats and cruised around the lake and got something to eat in the food court area. Oh and DS went last October and we were not given a pager. Is that something new?

If you want to do this I suggest making reservations 90 days (exactly) in advance. It's very popular and there are only a limited number of spaces on each cruise.

My kids went in July and we were given a beeper. Even though we were staying at GF we took advantage of the time without the kids and rented the mouseboats for an hour. The kids loved it and we loved having 2 whole hours alone!!!!!

The first year we just waited and had breakfast at Park Faire.

This past June, we went and toured another resort (SSR)

They give you a beeper so you dont have to be within a certain range. You do have to sign for it and pay a penalty if you should lose it.

My DD5 just went on 8/5. She actually did the Pirate Cruise, Grand Adventures in Cooking and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party during our week's stay. Each time we were given a pager (as we were last year as well.) This year they actually had to page one of the girl's parents on the pirate cruise (my dd's partner!) because the little girl got seasick and threw up! That was a fun story to hear from DD!

We usually enjoyed a relaxing brunch/lunch at GF Cafe. The food is yummy and the miniature desserts are very tempting!
