Help!
Can someone please help me with some questions regarding the Pirate Cruise for kids at the Grand Floridian?
I tried to get PS for my two sons for January 1st (Wed), but the day was locked out. CM told me to try again in a couple of weeks, that they may not be ready for next year yet.

Do they cancel this activity on holidays?
What spot at the Marina do you drop them off at?
If its a bad weather day, are you charged for a cancellation?
Would a 10:15am PS for breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe be feasable for DH & DW while waiting for the little pirates to return to home port?
Other than waiting to call WDW-DINE and possibly missing the boat (sorry for the pun) ;) ; who might I call to find out if and when PS might be made available for this cruise?

Thanks for any help on the above.

1. They don't cancel the Pirate's Cruise for holidays (ds and dn are going on Thanksgiving Day).

2. It's very obvious where to drop them off. You report in at the window at the marina. They'll sign you in and have you put a life jacket on your child. The boat will pull up right there at the marina. The GF marina isn't that big. :)

3. If the cruise is cancelled because of weather, you won't be charged, BUT... I caution you to make sure that the cruise is cancelled! It won't be cancelled for light showers or such, weather changes quickly and differs from one place in the Kingdom to another, they may delay the cruise, or they may alter the activity.

4. I would make my PS for around 10:30. You have to walk back to the GF, and last time ds did the cruise, there were some "technical difficulties", so the kids were about 30 minutes late taking off and returning.:(

5. Today is the first day to make PS ressies for your Cruise date. I would call back and check with another CM, and see if it is in the system. Some CMs have better eyes than others.

My 2 ds are taking the cruise on Thanksgiving, too! I'm hoping spots will open up on another day, though. What are your plans while your ds and dn are taking the cruise? I also have a 4 yr. dd to entertain.

Thanks for the reply to my questions. I tried again but to no avail. The system still shows it as being blocked out. Maybe New Years Day is a special circumstance? Who knows? Fortunately, I never mentioned this activity to my boys; so even if we can't get it, they won't be disappointed.
