Pirate Cruise - Got it!!!

Last weekend I posted that I had to cancel reservations for the Pirates Cruise for Dec.11th. I have been calling - yes - each day since & this afternoon finally got two spots for Dec. 5th!!! I probably scared the reservationist have to death when I yelled "yippee"!!! Guess that it paid off to keep calling - don't know if I would of lasted until Dec. though!!!

My DD is going on her first Pirate Cruise in Dec. She is so excited. Thankfully I was able to secure her spot when I called bright and early at 7:00 am exactly 120 days out. She is going on Mon. Dec. 30th.

Have you decided what you're going to do while the little ones are on the cruise? Have a great time.

We haven't decided what to do with ourselves while the grandchildren are on the cruise. Any ideas?? It would be fun to be able to hide out someplace to see what they are doing!!!
You were lucky to get the date that you wanted during the Holiday week!!

I had thought that if we didn't get a reservations before we got there that we would just go & see if there were any NO shows for that day. Keep trying -- Good luck!!!!

The cruise is such a fun activity for kids! My children loved it! DH and I took the monorail to MK. We were finally able to stroll and explore the shops on Main St. We went down all the little alleys! We bought chocolate covered strawberries and sat on a bench and people watched. It truely was great to be in MK with out having to rush around or get in line for a ride. We took the monorail back to GF in time to meet the boat at the dock. Hope your kids get great weather on their day!

From 1 grandma to another I just cancelled our 2 DG's cruise yesterday cause the flight they are taking will not be there in time...so glad to see that you got it for your GC...hope they enjoy it and make sure you tell us how they liked it please...Marianne

Are you now trying to get other reservations for the Pirates Cruise? If so - I hope that you have the same luck that I did & get them!!! Our grandchildren will be excited - we hope - "K" will just have turned 5 before we get there & "P" will be 5 on News Years Day. If I didn't read the DIS, I wouldn't even of known about the Cruise - I love this site!!! It is funny how you noticed my post about getting the reservations - glad that you responded. Will let you know how it went & what Grandma & Grandpa did while they were on it. Hope that you have a great vacation with your grandchildren!!!

I am in the LP but have family in St. Ignace... just barely in the UP!!

Congrats ! My kids enjoyed the Pirates Cruise in April and are still talking about it. My 3 year old is so tiny they kept asking her how old she was. It was funny because she got a little annoyed about the third time. She said "I'm 3, I'm 3, I'm 3!" She may be small but she is very outspoken! By the end of the cruise she was helping the "older" kids out of the boat. She played with her bag of "loot" for the entire vacation. SOOOO cute. Your children will have so much fun! We bought some breakfast and enjoyed a little down time while the kids were on the cruise. Our older son rented a mouse boat.

wdwnut61-- My DS will also be on the Mon. Dec. 30th cruise. It's his first time too and he's sooo excited!

I'm glad I know now to call at my first opportunity for the Pirate Cruise- I have a 5 year old who will be going on his maiden voyage in early March. Anyone know- if you give the CM a disposable camera, will they take a few pictures for you? Thanks!

Myself, DH and my other DD(15) have PS at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast. We have heard so many good things about this breakfast. I heard the restaurant is beautiful. My youngest DD,who's going on the cruise isn't much for sitting still while we eat breakfast..lol So we are looking forward to a relaxing meal. If we have time after breakfast then we can explore some of the GF. We made are PS at 10:30 so we will have plenty of time to be back to watch the pirates...I mean the kids return....
