Pirate Costume

I am in desperate need of a pirate costume for the Pirate and Princess party. My DS is almost three and 2T is too small. Anyone know where to get a cheap costume, he will probably destroy it, so I don't want to invest too much money in it.

We made our own. DS wore black pants that I cut off below the knee all raggedy (I bought them at the Salvation Army for $2), and a white t-shirt that I cut the bottom and sleeves all ragged (AC Moore for $3). I added a Red sash, bought him a pirate set at the dollar store and a red bandana tied around his head.

I am making my son's. The pants are white with blue stripes, I cut the bottom (rough cut, no hem) zig zag. He will wear a white t-shirt, I'm making a vest from red material, and a black sash to tie around waist. I found a hat a dollar store ($1). I spent $4 on material and have enough for my 6yr old and my 2yr old nephew a costume. When we are done w/CRT breakfast, he can put on shorts and just take off the vest.

PS: I am not an expert seamstress either. If I can make it anyone can. LOL
