Disney has now officially announced the previously rumored "Disney's Pirate & Princess Party". The hard-ticketed event at the Magic Kingdom will run from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on 13 nights in 2007 (January 22, 26, 29; February 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 23, 26; and March 2, 5, 8). The event will include pirate adventure coves and princess royal courts, candy, trinkets and special themed entertainment including swashbuckling and dancing. "Treasure maps" and "treasure bags" will be handed out at entry to help you plot your way through the various events. Character greetings and a stage show will also, of course, be themed for the evening. The new Disney's Enchanted Adventures Parade, as well as a new fireworks show, will highlight the evening.

Tickets are on sale now. As of press time, the tickets were not yet available on Disney's Web site, so you'll have to call Disney reservations for tickets until that is changed.

Advance Purchase tickets are $36.95 plus tax (adults) and $29.95 plus tax (children 3-9). Prices will be $42.95 plus tax (adults) and $35.95 plus tax (children 3-9) on the day of the event, if available. Discounts will be available for Passholders and DVC members on five selected nights (1/22, 1/26, 1/29, 2/01, 2/05) with prices of $32.95 plus tax (adults) and $25.95 plus tax (children 3-9).
