Pirate and Princess birhtday party

DD will be turning 3 in April. We plan to invite maybe a dozen or so kids, both boys and girls for an afternoon party. I was thinking of doing a Pirate and Princess theme but beyond eye patches and princess hats and wands, what else can I do?

How about a "treasure hunt"? Give the kids empty goody bags and let them search the yard for their treats.
