Now you don't have to worry one single bit if your camera will work.
There were so many people who were ready and willing to chip in to get this camera for you, I tell you.....<welling up>.....I thought we were the one's getting to do the blessing but after seeing the response and everyone's heart...I was really the one who's sox got blessed off!!!

I knew there were a lot of people on here who's hearts were as golden as Mickey's himself, but when you see it in action.... it's just a whole other story.
Seeing everyone rally to love on you and Piper and be a blessing is more than words can say and my heart can contain.

One person may have put it into action, but it was really the collective effort and love of the DISers as a family that made this happen. I'm truly humbled and it's something I will never forget.
Thank you guys. YOU ALL ROCK!!!

It's so hard to express what you feel with just "thank you", isn't it? I understand, and "you're welcome". I feel the same way as you expressed, even if I have "real time" friends, it's different to have friends who "get it" and also amazing to have friends who don't have to care, you may never see their faces, but they go out of their way to bring happiness to your life. I totally get what you mean about having a small circle of close friends. We know a lot of people here in our community, but we aren't "friends" with many of them. It's hard for us because not too many people "get it" when it comes to autism & how that effects our family on a daily basis.

I put it on the charger as soon as we got home last night, it's going to get a work out for the next week! I am dying to try it!

I am going to be a picture taking fool...and now without having to lug around 4 sets of extra batteries in case the old one craps out! I told Piper she can have my old one and she was thrilled..you would have thought she'd won the lotto! She's already started practicing with it. So actually, I'll still be lugging extra batteries, but prob one extra set instead of 4!

That's exactly our situation, Amy..you'd think we know everyone if you went on a trip to the grocery store with us, but we're close with very few. I love these boards, and am really looking forward to giving back as much as I can after our trip!

This is why I love this board so much. We feel the exact same way. Brigitte seems to be the mayor of Londonderry, but thats just because most people don't know what else to do except smile and say "oh, she's so cute"...god forbid if they actually try to talk to us though!!

I have had so much fun with all of you gals!! Amanda, I am so happy you got the camera! Can't wait to see the pictures!! You girls desere it.

From what I've read on other Wish trip reports: Tell everyone that it's your daughters wish trip and Jasmine is her favorite. Tell every CM you come into contact with. You never know when one of them might provide that little bit of pixie dust.

Sorry I didn't respond right after you posted the pictures of Piper opening her package, but I have been really sick, and have had some kind of allergic reaction to some medication, and just haven't had it in me to post.

LOL! I am actually planning to start packing today! Normally I wouldn't even have a list yet, so I'm doing well! (Nope, not rationalizing..lolol) I think I'm going to have to pull a Stefanie and post a list on here, and change the color as things get done. I'll do that as soon as I finish packing. Seriously though..I am going to start today..my living room is driving me nuts with all the piles. This way it will all be piled in a bag..that's progress, right?

Hi Amanda and Piper. I am catching up on posts a little bit. I love all of the pictures of your BIG GIVE packages. Your picture of you with your blanket is so precious. It looks very comfy and cozy!

I am so glad you recieved the camera before your trip. The Dis'rs keep amazing me every day. The heart that these people have...

I trully understand about having very few rw friends. It is just so hard when our lives consist of therapies, hospital stays and meds constantly. And someone has to live it to understand it.
