Lol.... as I read this, I keep seeing my mother on our trip to Disney, who was supposed to help with the kids, but ended up breaking her foot on day 2 and ended up being another kid I had to take care of..... Sigh! Its all funny to look back at it now, but at the time- ugh! She couldn't even figure out her scooter, much less crutches. I laugh now, but it was good when she opted to stay in the room for a while a couple times!

Jenn, It's probably better than my mom! My mom is infamous (I swear all the local stores have her picture up so they know who to watch for) in all the local stores around here. She can take a display case out on an end cap in a store in record time.
And the worst part about it....she just keeps going like it didn't even happen... "Oh you were standing there shopping? Sorry I didn't see your size 16 feet in my way..." "Hey mom, do you think you should have a sound for when your going forwards not just going backwards?"
The woman drives like a maniac!!

Morning! Thanks for taking the time to get caught up..my original intention had been to print all this out for Piper to have later..and ermmm..don't think that's going to happen! LOL. Although I don't know..maybe if I do a few at a time. Anyway! The Dis'ers and Big Givers have been FABULOUS to us, we feel so blessed. Lol! That's hysterical!!! I am sooo glad my mom is not in one on a regular basis. She would do that in a heart beat. She almost killed herself the one time she drove the scooter onto the bus by herself. It was funny as all get out to watch though and I think that was one of the high points of my day honestly!

Hope you're packing by now- I began packing way early on our last trip and still was running around like a crazy woman the day before we left! Maybe its cause I didn't have a list like you have! Good idea!

Hi Piper, I've been reading your and your mom's pre-trip report for the past three days after I stumbled upon it. You are an amazing little girl and I'm so excited that you get to have this trip. I can't wait to read about it and see all your pictures.

I love that you have the exact same Icon as I do. I also have loved science since I was 8 years old, and now I'm in graduate school working on a Biology degree so I can be a science teacher. And of course my favorite princess is Jasmine too. In fact I just got a little kitten a month ago and her name is Jasmine, and she thinks she's a princess. She loved reading your pre-trip report too... here's proof:

I heard you're going to Askershus to eat with the princesses. Just in case Jasmine isn't there, there is a character meet and greet area in Adventure land in the Magic Kingdom where you can meet both Jasmine and Aladdin.

I hope you have an amazing trip. Your count down chain should be really short now.

! I admire you getting all caught up, I can't even keep up with putting links up..LOL. Piper hasn't been posting much lately..a combination of Mommy trying to get updates up, and that 8 yr old attention span! I will have her look at the post tomorrow though, she's going to absolutely love it. For some reason she's all about getting a cat here lately, and she can't have anything furred at this point. I think we're going to be doing a lot of Jasmine meeting..she's getting done as Jasmine at BBB, then we're going to head over to meet her (and hopefully Aladdin) afterwards! What she'd really like is to ride a ride with one of them, and I'm going to see what I can do, but she knows it's a longshot. Thank you so much for the good wishes!

Piper and I were getting to leave for her homebound session today when my phone rings. I pick it up and she says.."do you have time to stop at the office before Piper has school? You have a package here at the office and it's addressed to Queen Amanda from Camille." Now, I knew Camille was sending one of Mackie's old coats for Piper, so I told her we would just stop after Piper had school. I thought about it..and I couldn't stand it. I got Piper together and we left right away. So, we get there, I open the box, and there's a card....

My eyes started to well up at this point, I'm sure many of you reading know exactly where this is going!! (All you mean people keeping a secret like that!) So I open the gift bag and here is what I find:

Camille (millie) had coordinated an effort to send me a new digital camera, with help from Maroo, manntra, yinyanggirls, Granna4679, momofwishkid, xanphylus, dawnbu40, MaryAz, leamom2princesses, pnutallergymom, eliz991, jenb1023, Thumper321, jenjolt, DisMomAmy, elizabethswan, cantwaittoseemickey, kimmylaj, MAGICFOR2, AlternateEgo, chrissid7, MCazer, pacrosby, Mom2SamandJames, and Tygansmom829121. She had also sent a very cool pooh t-shirt, and told me on the phone this evening that a camera case is on the way. I have to tell you ladies, I just started tearing up again just typing up everyone's name. I am still so overwhelmed I don't even know how to start to thank you all. Our circle of "real-time" friends is pretty small, partially my fault because maybe I don't reach out as much as I should..a lot of people don't "get" why I'm so reluctant to leave Piper with sitters, and it can be hard to schedule around her meds. Anyway, my point (I do have one) is that you all have become a part of our family over the past few months while you've followed along with our journey. Even though we're only going to get to meet a few of you, all of you will be on the trip with us in our hearts, and every picture that I take will just be an affirmation of that, and a reminder of how truly wonderful and thoughtful people can be. I've said it before, but I feel truly blessed to have found these boards and made so many friends. You all know I love you..I just posted two..count 'em two..pics voluntarily of myself that don't involve Piper! At any rate, thank you isn't enough, but thank you all, again!
