Piper's Practically Perfect PTR..Wish Trip! 3/2-8...Upd Pg 126- TR Link!! Hooray!

Oh my goodness! Piper has gotten so many wonderful gifts! :yay: The looks on her face in those pics is just priceless  It's so nice to see that deserving little girl so happy :goodvibes

Amanda,

Could you pm me the ebay info for the autograph books!

Thanks!

Margaret is such a sweetie :goodvibes Love all the goodies and the Jasmine pic is great!

It's amazing what she can do with photoshop. When we initially looked at e-bay, she didn't have a Jasmine book..I asked her about it and she said she did have Jasmine images she could use as long as she wasn't selling them..so Jasmine it was! Piper was so excited to see that as she was expecting the Mickey one she had chosen on the website! (Good excited!)

Thank you, Dawn  She is truly so thankful and careful when she's opening the packages to make sure she gives everything equal attention..I love watching her!

Morning, Lynne..I can, and will do it now!

Love the autograph books and all of the pixie dust! What is the mailman/delivery guy going to do when you guys are done getting packages?

Does your ticker actually say ONE WEEK AND FIVE DAYS????????

Holy Cow!!! You're the second one who has caught me off guard with how close their trip is!

The Big Give has truly been BIG!!! How wonderful for Piper. She looks so excited in the px. I can't wait to see pictures of her in all her outfits in the parks (hint, hint, wink, wink).

Have you started packing? You're going to need ALOT of suitcases!!!!

Hey, is grandma going too? I forget.

I've gotta tell you, your thread is IMPOSSIBLE to keep up with. Must be nice to be so popular huh? :rotfl:

:rotfl2: I was just coming over here to apologize for not keeping up with this PTR better. I was doing okay for a while, but now that we're in the homestretch, I haven't done so good. Sorry, Amanda! I think I'm caught up, but I can't promise I'll stay that way! :rotfl:

It does say one week and five days! To say I might be getting a little freaked out would not be amiss! I plan on being a picture taking fool, not to mention photopass addict, so no worries there! :goodvibes:

My plan going in was to pack my large (and I do mean large) duffel, and pack a smaller one inside it..thinking it would still have lots of room for stuff on the way home. I think I am going to be able to fit everything in there, but I'm going to have to be sure and weigh it so we don't hit the 50 lb limit. I had already planned on only taking about 3 outfits, and washing while we're there, so that helps. (I know from experience it will hold 70..LOL) Then Piper and I will both have carry-ons with her meds, things to do on the flights, camera, oxygen (?) etc.

Gram is going with us :) I have a bit of apprehension about that, but I'm sure it will come out in the wash ;) We've already spoken about how the trip is all about Piper and what she wants to do, and that we're going at her pace. I'm already getting a few "I don't know how you think you're going to get everything done that you want to" comments, but that's the worst of it so far. Honestly I suspect there will be at least one park day that she chooses not to come with us on, but that's fine, and I've already told myself that Piper and I are going to enjoy the trip regardless, and that I am not going to have any expectations where Gram is concerned. I love her to death, don't get me wrong..but I got my control issues from someone, and two women used to their own ways of doing things on a trip like this doesn't necessarily make for all peaches and cream. Then again, she may just surprise me! (Sorry, wrote a novel there, LOL.)

I need to go back and update the index again, I had been good about doing it, then got behind with all the updating and such since Piper got out of the hospital. Maybe I'll work on that this week.

LOL Miranda! It's okay..I'm going to try to update a little something daily, so if you don't stay caught up I completely understand. Besides, we'll be able to catch up in person soon!!

This is me!! (2things) 1My dad is like that I KNOW he is going to be trying to control my trip(as he has controlled all the trips when we were younger!!) but even though Gabby is not a WISH kid she is still a kid and I want her to be able to enjoy this trip and have fond memories not memories of rushing from thing to another.(which is what he did on our universal trip 3 years ago)..

2. we are taking less clothes and washing while we are there!! Great minds think alike!!
Sorry for the hijack but when you posted that it conveyed exactly what I was feeling!!LOL

I love Piper's shirt. My dad used to work for LL Bean and we used to get the employee's discount. I sure do miss that. I love all of Piper's autograph books. I already sent you a pm.

I'm really hoping there won't be any issues, but I'm thinking that might be hoping for too much, lol.

My extended family is all in Maine, and my cousin works at an LL Bean outlet ..between her employee discount, and the fact it's outlet prices to begin with, she can really score! She keeps an eye out and calls my Aunt when she sees something Piper would like. My Aunt is almost like a second Mother to me, and spoils Piper and I rotten..we appreciate it so much! We've also picked up shirts there on vacation in the past, and my mom picks up stuff for us when she goes up there. It keeps Piper pretty well outfitted ;)

I agree.. If mom stats making you nuts..I think you do need to spend a day apart :-)
I am getting excited for you.. your trip is SOOOOOOOO Close :-)

This package came from Shannon, she didn't put her disname on it, hopefully she'll chime in as well. :goodvibes: It was very soft and squishy, we were clueless!
Ohh...a blanket...

DSCI0195.jpg

It's got Mickey!!! And her name!!

DSCI0197.jpg

Shannon, not a day has gone by since she opened it that Piper hasn't used the blanket, it's just the right weight while she's in the chair doing her meds. Someone else might have even stolen it once Piper's in bed to use on the couch! :rolleyes1: We love it, and the quality of the embroidery is just unbelievable. Thank you so much!

This just made my day! I'm sorry it's take me a while to respond (for some reason, my subscription wasn't set right, so...)
Anyway - I'm so glad Piper likes her blanket! I hope you all enjoy your trip!

Gram is going with us :) I have a bit of apprehension about that, but I'm sure it will come out in the wash ;)

Lol.... as I read this, I keep seeing my mother on our trip to Disney, who was supposed to help with the kids, but ended up breaking her foot on day 2 and ended up being another kid I had to take care of..... :headache: Sigh! Its all funny to look back at it now, but at the time- ugh! She couldn't even figure out her scooter, much less crutches. I laugh now, but it was good when she opted to stay in the room for a while a couple times! :rotfl2:

The next package came from Linnette, I don't know her Disname and am hoping she'll chime in on the thread!

Opening the package:

Ohh...what's in the bag?

DSCI0169.jpg

A Princess dress! It even has ruffles!

DSCI0170.jpg

Another one ?!?!! This one is a two piece set :

One more..because I loved the back of this one!

DSCI0179.jpg

There was also matching jewelry to go with the princess dress, I hope it shows in the picture, and a princess coloring set. Piper loved the dresses so much, Linnette, we're thinking Akershus for the Princess dress, it's perfect! Thank you so much for the work you put into them, we love them! (Piper is reading over my shoulder and says "hi" :upsidedow )

Hi I am so glad that you and Piper liked the dresses!!! :yay:Hope you guys have lots and lots of fun at disney! and..... PICTURES... DO NOT FORGET PICTURES!!!:laughing:

sending you and Piper Hugs!

Doing the2 week happy dance! (A couple of days late it would seem.) :cool1:

Thanks, GB..and no worries, we've been happy dancing for months now, plenty to make up for the day or two you missed! :lmao:

You're welcome to hop over to our villa if you need a Gram break. My mom and I are the same way. But notice she's not going. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

We might take you up on that, Miranda..LOL. Seriously though, I'm really hoping that I'm completely wrong for once, this would be the perfect time for it. :goodvibes:

I agree.. If mom stats making you nuts..I think you do need to spend a day apart :-)
I am getting excited for you.. your trip is SOOOOOOOO Close :-)

We are sooooo excited..I started making lists today.. daaaa-daa-daaa! LOL

Anyway - I'm so glad Piper likes her blanket! I hope you all enjoy your trip!

Shannon, I'm so glad you came on the thread..we absolutely love the blanket, and it's something she can use for the rest of her life. I see it making some trips to the hospital with us in the future ;) Thank you again!

Oh gosh..my mom's already joked that by the end of a day she's going to be in the wheelchair with Piper pushing her! :lmao: We'll see how it goes.

Linnette

Thank you, Linnette  We do love them and there will be pictures galore! I thought updating Big Give stuff was hard..I don't want to think about all the uploading I'm going to have to do when we get back!!

Note to self..
Yes, your daughter did look so adorable sleeping on the couch under her new blanket:

DSCI0247.jpg

However, that cuteness does not supercede the fact that she now weighs nearly 75 lbs, and you are now 37, and not 27. I put up with you lifting her up to carry her to bed this time, but only because I know how much you have in store for me in less than 2 weeks. I hope you bought me some decent shoes, by the way, because if I get blisters again, I am not going to be happy. You'll note I expressed my displeasure by allowing you a leaky moment. That was your last warning. Next time make her young body wake up and carry itself to bed!

Sincerely,
Your tired, overworked, underappreciated body.
