The Littlest Hero Project is basically a network of photographers who donate their time and talent to do portraits of children with chronic/terminal illnesses. There are some in FL who will go to Give Kids the World/Disney resorts to do photo sessions, but you can also get it done at home, a local studio, etc. It's completely free, including a photo package or cd with all the photos on it. Jennifer, if it's something you're interested in there's a link on the first page of the the wish trippers thread, I think!

I remember reading about it on Christine/Jake's report (?). I checked out the website and it was under construction at the time. It appears to be done now, but they took away the feature to search for a photographer in your area. You apply first, then they match you, it says. Being a "formerly-semi-pro-freelance" photographer myself (LOL) I know I'm going to be picky and would really like to view several photographers works before matching with one. My thought was that perhaps we would do a session for Phoebe while we are on our trip if we saw a great photographer there. If not, I'd save it for another time here at home. But now I can't figure out how to preview anyone's work. Maybe I just need to let go of my photography control issues.

On a sidenote..Jeepie has been fixed..it was the throttle position sensor (?) which I didn't know existed, but apparently is a $200 fix. The same mechanic also works on my mom cars..apparently after I dropped it off she called them and told them to call her with the problem and the bill (!) which I genuinely appreciate, but I hate it when she does things like that without asking me first. Anyway, we'll have him back tonight..hooray! He knows our situation and is very good about getting Jeepie fixed quickly when there's a problem. Again, another person who is very good to us!

Well, I'm gald it's not the 300 I was expecting. Maybe it's a cost of living adjustment.

hi piper! i am a chicken when it comes to thrill rides, but my son is sitting right here and he says that it is one of his favorite rides! at first , he was not sure he wanted to try it, but he finally tried it and he LOVED it!! He says sitting in the front is the best. he is a little sad because we are going in february and splash will be closed then. i'll bet it will be open when you go though. glad you have your own account now!

I've never tasted any of the snacks. I'm looking forward to riding all the mountains, but I've never rode them. I think we are going to watch spectromagic and the fireworks! Aww, poor Daniel, I really do feel sorry for him. That's great about the trip, I hope you have a good time!

The only mountain I have been on at MK was Big Thunder and I loved it. We really love Spectro and Wishes at MK. I would suggest the accessible area by Liberty Tree for the parade. Bill and I love that location and you are really close to the parade people. There is also a place to sit there .

Gram has always been very good to us when things like this happen, which is one of the many reasons we wanted her to be able to come on the trip with us...bailing us out that way does take a toll on her finances, esp when she won't let me pay her back. That's why I was trying to get the mechanic to call ME this time, lol.

Hi Piper! It is so cool you have your own Avatar and DISboard name! I do love Splash Mountain, you can't miss the inside, but the drop always scares me in a good way! You will get wet for sure!!! You might want to put on a poncho!!!

P.S. Okay, the person in the front ALWAYS gets wet now, and the 2nd row too, usually. Sometimes March can be cool at night, and I don't want you to get sick - so I was thinking be sure it is a really warm day and go in the daytime when you have time to dry off, or wear a poncho if it's at night. Okay, I know - I'm a grandma - can't help it
