Absolutely hon, but now you have me dying to know how you've planned your days so much differently! LOL. It would be very cool to run into each other in the parks, and we can't wait to meet you guys at the Christmas party!

I just read your plans, they sound awesome!
I just want to say that when my mom went to orientation, the lady said we'd need a full day at MK & HS, but not AK and epcot. Don't listen to her! We did, and I seriously regret it. I didn't get to do nearly as much as i wanted to at AK (which was my main wish..) because we listened and spent more time at HS. SO, stick to your plan, it sounds awesome.

my mom and I are saving money to go back to disney world in 2 years, to spend time at sea world/ animal kingdom and magic kingdom. to make up for the lost AK time. :wizard:

Thanks, now I have to go back through and re do some things. We also have AK the same day as you. Honestly I just wrote out what sounded good to me. :rotfl: I didnt do to bad though. I think I just need to switch my SW and MK days. Have to get out my itenerary and double check though. Thanks again.

Happy New Year Amanda! I'm back from Texas and trying to catch up! I love the way you told Piper about the trip. I'm just sorry she was sick. I'm praying for both of you and I hope the IV treatment is short, with no relapses.

Your story is very touching. You have alot of courage and you are very special - that's why God chose you to give Piper to! I sent you a PM.

Millie - Texas was great - nice and warm and lots to do!

Tammie is back!!!! :yay: Yeaaaaa! I'm glad you liked Texas, it's one of those places....you either love it or hate it. There doesn't seem to be much else inbetween. I'm just happy I love it here. I think I told you I use to live in S.A. and loved living there until I moved to the Austin are, and now I'm even happier. S.A. has so much to do, I really miss the cultural aspects of things there. Right now they are about to have their big rodeo coming soon, it's a really big deal there. And then Fiesta in the spring. I miss it, but I don't miss the crime. :sad2: When you come back out this way and have time we should try and put together a meet.
Did you have fun with those babies? Hope you covered them in lots of hugs and kisses. :lovestruc

Camille! I'm so glad you posted a picture - your family IS gorgeous, especially you!
Elizabeth, your so sweet to say this. To bad I didn't end up wearing my good bra.  I see my girls aren't stading up to attention for the picture.

Amanda...the plan sounds good to me but I'm hardly the expert around here. I will say it took us about 1.5 hours to get our rental car and luggage and get to the Dolphin in July.
Amanda, I wish I could give you better insight to your plan, but I think this is a little out of my league. Sorry. Although from what I can see, it's a good plan. :yay: It's a lot, so don't over-whelm yourselves. But I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't already know to do. :)

Thanks, Alyssa..I can't imagine not needing a full day at Epcot either :confused3 I love Ep. it's my favorite park, and I'm really hoping Piper will too. Woohoo..I'm glad you're planning a return trip!:banana:

You're welcome. Jennifer  I spent waaaaay too much time trying to figure out what to do each day! I think if I had to switch a lot of it around I would have gone loco! Can't wait to see your plan once you get it firmed up!

Welcome back, Tammie! I'm glad you had a great time in Texas! Thank you for the prayers and the kind words. I'll go check my pms here shortly:goodvibes

I was lucky enough to go to Texas for a week when I was in high school..SA was beautiful Camille..I loved the riverwalk...we didn't get to go anywhere near Austin though! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the warning to "shake out your shoes" I don't do well with creepy-crawlies.

Thanks, Camille! I'm hoping it's a good plan, but honestly if we get there and 75% of it went out the window, I would be okay with that, it wouldn't completely stress me out or anything. To be honest right now I'm just really hoping Piper is well and off the O2 when it comes time for us to go.

I heard about Fiesta! It would be fun to be there for that some time! We are wondering where to retire - don't think we'll live there, but maybe "snow bird" there. We were told to check out Kerrville by our shuttle driver at the airport. We have about 5 years to decide! Yes, we somthered those babies, now to figure out when we can go back again:thumbsup2

I have to agree with everyone else your plans look fabulous! You and Piper and your mom are going to have the most amazing time!!!!! I can't wait to see all your pictures and hear all your tales!

Thank you, Jen! I'm so excited for you guys getting ready to go! I can't wait for the TR when you get back too! :goodvibes

Hi Amanda! Just checking in. Power was off all day long; and I'm pooped from cooking and living in the dark all day. Blech! AFter this LONG week of company and DH being home all the time and really messing up our schedule, I hope to be more actively active! Anyways, HI!

People hate Texas? :confused3 :rotfl2: I love Austin, I would actually prefer to live there but since our jobs are here I guess Dallas will do for now. :goodvibes

I love the riverwalk too. We don't get there often, although my DH and I did get engaged there. Actually that may be the only time we've been to SA together! :lmao:

I used to be a camp counselor here and got stung by scorpions twice (never in my shoes, but both my fault - once I didn't check my sheets and once I was walking barefoot.) It's icky but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Kerrville is really nice. I had a mediation down there once, and it's so pretty, and not too far from SA. The only thing is that it's a little small - my client, the opposing client, and the mediator were all in the same Sunday school class. Luckily I remembered to wear my Texas A&M class ring so I wouldn't come across like the "big city" lawyer.

You could always try Austin??:love::love: There are many places around Austin which are lovely, I actually live outside of Austin, further North. Texas is big, I'm sure there's bound to be somewhere that will appeal to you. My mom lives out by the lake and she loves it. She's about 20 mins. from me. I may have said this before, can't remember so I'll say it again. I think of Austin as being the Biggest small town I've ever lived in, I like that I can walk the down town and feel safe. I love that pretty much anything you wear goes (within reason and without  I much prefere within). It's much like L.A in that regard. I call Austin the L.A. of Texas (without the entitlement) and Dallas the Hollywood of Texas in regards to what people wear, money and attitude.

Sorry you didn't have power today. Is this common? I know exactly what you mean about the DH being home, it makes everything harder to follow through on. :confused3 I don't know why, but it's just much easier to get things done without him under foot. Go figure.

I like the Riverwalk during Fiesta, and Christmas time. They have the lights up when walking the R.W. and it's really romantic. Other than that it's just a bunch of drunks almost knocking others into the river. They actually have what they call a Mud festival every year, they drain the river (which was built purely for the Worlds fair, along with most of the rest of what's cool down town) and clean it out of all the junk that accumulates over the year, including the mud! :) They fish out shoes, wallets, silver ware, plates, mugs, sunglasses, all kinds of things.

That's a good idea on attitude towards your plan, you dont' want to be like me the first time I went to WDW. I was so worried that I wouldn't get to everything I was a mess and not much fun.
The crawly critters are a problem there in S.A., but in the five years I lived there, I was only stung once, my son stung once, and both times due to the fact we were outside and not wearing shoes. :sad2:

My sister is in the same boat, she would rather be here but lives where you are. Elizabeth you need to move here, find a job here and then we can go out for Tex-Mex and Margaritas. together. :teeth:

See! Romance. ;)

This is true, it's not as bad as it could be, but I hear they can be a booger for little children to get through.

 Only in Texas could you get away with that. There may be disputes, but football is the common language spoken here, and if your team isn't winning then you cheer on the Texas team who is....but only for that game. ;)

Okay, so bad news first so I can get it over with and think about more pleasant things! We had the appt with Piper's CF Doc today and her lung function was down to 33% again. We're adding a neb and continuing home IVs with a follow-up appt on Tues at UVa. If there hasn't been significant improvement by then she'll be admitted right after the appt so they can try a new inhaled antibiotic that can only be administered in an inpatient setting. I'm really wishing I had just pushed for the IVs right after Thanksgiving, it just seemed so important to have her home for the holidays. Hindsight is 20/20, as they say. I realize her going inpatient isn't the worst thing in the world, I'm just really frustrated and tired right now. Prayers and positive thoughts would be appreciated, as always.

Okay, so onto the fun stuff. My Aunt and Uncle I've mentioned before stopped in tonight on their way to Florida for the rest of the winter. As usual, my Aunt had been shopping and brought Piper a very cute stuffed kitten that sits on her shoulder and enough smartsocks to last for the next 2 yrs! (My cousin works at the LL Bean outlet in Bangor, and gets access to LOTS of great deals.) She also brought a leather document holder for me to take on our trip for the plane tix and such, a new lightweight jacket for me to take..and my favorites...wait for it......

A case of Moxie soda and 5 dozen Mrs. Dunster's donuts!! I am in heaven and am about ready to break into a can of Moxie as we speak. Moxie is a love it or hate it soda that can only be found in New England, and Mrs Dunsters....the best donuts on earth..they're cake donuts, but absolutely huge and very very scrumptious. I may just have to test my food-piccie taking ability and post a picture of one in all it's glorious splendor! Whew..typing that part out really did cheer me up a bit..gotta love a caffeinated sugar rush! (okay, for those of you familiar with moxie and these delicious donuts, I would never mix the two, that sounds nasty even to me!) We love my Aunt and Uncle to death, and are always anxious to see them, I speak with my Aunt on the phone at least twice a week. They'll stop again on their way back through in about 12 weeks and stay for 3 or 4 days. When they got here and saw how cold it was, they decided just an overnight was in order and that they were headed for warmer climes! :lmao:

First of all I'm sorry to hear about Piper but she will definitely be in my prayers!!!! Please keep us updated on her status!!

YAY for special treats and goodies!!!!!!

Sending special thoughts and prayers to you and sweet Piper. I'll be thinking of you and hoping that the neb and IV's do the trick.

Glad you got some goodies today. :goodvibes

sorry to hear about piper. will continue to pray for the 2 of you.

moxie == i just googled it...i love soda so I'm sure I'll be trying it soon. There's a specialty soda store down the street. i'll have to go check it out.
