I personally think all of our wish kid parents are pretty amazing. I've loved meeting so many people that really "get" what everyone else is going through/has been through. I've gotten so much more from this experience already than I ever thought I would. I hope you guys have a wonderful year as well!!

I don't even want to think about being two weeks out yet!! I have a feeling we're going to be in for some major post-Disney depression when we get back, but I'm choosing not to think about that, LOL.Amanda, I have been MIA latley but finally read your last post and just wanted to tell you your an amazing woman and mother. Not many have the courage to do what you did and Im positive you and Piper have a better life for it. I can totally relate to the not having much of a social life and this board being an amazing place. I would be happy to call you a friend and if you ever want or need to just talk let me know.

So Amanda... I read a few post that claimed "tears"... and since I am at work (with a bunch of guys) I am not willing to share the waterworks

I don't blame you for not wanting to risk tears at work..I used to work in a 99% male environment, so I know what you mean! I hope you and your family have a wonderful new year as well!!
: Actually I'm just keeping it in my pocket for a bad day..it's looking like we are going to end up on IVs, I'm just glad we got through the holidays first. She's back on O2, and 3 ltrs to keep her just at 92. We're waiting on a call back now, and I'll update as soon as we know more. In the meantime...thank you again Heather Sue, and any Big Givers that might be reading this..I am completely excited, and I know Piper will be also! 
Yay! Im so happy Piper gets to be apart of the Big Give. Im really hoping to be involved in it after we get back from our trip. So sorry she might end up on Iv's. She'll be in my thoughts. Keep us updated.

I'm so happy Piper is in the Big Give!Caitlin has sent wish kids packages before, we don't sew but send other goodies, and I've had her watching for Piper! I know this will only add to the magic of her special trip!
I'm going to tell Piper tomorrow after we access her port, finally spoke with her Dr and we're going to start home IVs tomorrow. She had an appt set up Wed anyway, so we'll evaluate after that whether she can stay home or needs to go inpatient, but it sounds like they're going to let us stay home and do them for the duration! Hooray for that!!
