Piper's Practically Perfect PTR..Wish Trip! 3/2-8...Upd Pg 126- TR Link!! Hooray!

I was thinking about writing a musical. About kids and bedtimes.

I would have to plagerize Handel though; and there would be too many halelujah choruses.

Heey! No fair having all the fun convo without me, you two!! lol. I'm getting ready to have fun of my own..Alabaster is going to toilet paper the living room and hang balloons tonight! And yes...the evening has been blissful since about..ohh..9:00. Speaking of which..how are your girls, Melissa?

Very FUN!! I went TPing as a kid- a lot!

The big walnut trees were best! We also did crank-calling, ding-dong ditch 'em, and midnight skinny dipping in the pool.

I don't recommend any of those though. :lmao:

TP'ing your own house. Now that's a first for me! Sounds fun!

They both seem to be on the mend, but have shared "it" with me. Not pink eye, the other nameless crud. Hoping I heal as quickly as they seem to be...

Oh geez...it's about 30 right now with 35mph+ winds! Noooo skinny dipping..lol.

It's a first for me too, but I think Piper will love it..she wakes me up every am with "Mommy, Mommy..guess what Alabaster did?" Last night he brought her a box of fruit roll-ups..I never buy them..except he had eaten one and started eating another, and was tangled up in the leftovers!

I'm glad you haven't gotten the pink eye (yet!)..hoping your crud goes away soon!

For some reason this reminded me of that scene in Polar Express where they are served "refreshment".

Are you in need of refreshment??

I'm personally dreaming of a refreshing refreshment of an icy mint julep on my balcony at POR in Sept!!!

Hi there!

Ohh..we    Polar Express..I think we've watched it at least 4 times since Thanksgiving..and Piper loves hot choccy, so we do that a LOT around here! With bad singing of the hot choccy song accompanying it, of course..:rolleyes1

Your type of refreshment sounds good too..I normally will only imbibe when Piper is at her Dad's..I just worry too much to do it while she's home. I'm hoping since Gram will be with us on the trip I'll be able to at least try a slushie of some type at Epcot..not sure though, because I'll prob get a dirty look of some type from Gram if I do! :rotfl: Sometimes you just can't win!

Yes..we're finally getting dates! :banana::yay::dance3::banana:
Can you tell I'm excited? I e-mailed our wish coordinator Katie last night and explained the situation with trying to surprise Piper at Christmas with the dates. She called me back this afternoon and said she had received the ppwk needed from Piper's Dr and would have dates for us on Tuesday!! I was starting to stress a bit about not having the dates for Piper's surprise :crazy2: To add to the good news, she's looking into renting a vest and neb compressor so I don't have to haul ours all over the airports..woohoo! We have flown with them before, and I'm sure we were quite a sight..the vest duffel is about the size of a normal duffel bag and weighs probably 30 lbs when her compressor is in it. Then of course I'd be lugging my purse, and usually a backpack and Piper! We will take her O2 concentrator with us since it's FAA approved and wheeled. I won't know what to do with all my free hands at the airport!! When I got off the phone I was so excited it was literally all I could do to keep my mouth shut and not start dancing around the house! I don't know how I'm going to stand it until Tuesday!

For your viewing pleasure..the pictures I promised earlier in the week, along with a few extras!

The media rack....(Ignore the oxygen concentrator in front of it, lol.)

Piper with the gingerbread house she made last year with my mom..she's making a new one tomorrow, and I'll post that pic once I have it, I thought it would be fun to compare!

Elf fun...tp'ed living room..looks like he got a bit tangled up ;)

More Elf fun..having a bowl of rice krispies...

And last but not least..our Christmas tree (and my purty fake venetian plaster walls!)

I've been uploading and re-sizing for about 90 min now, so if any of the pics are too large, I apologize! Gotta love dial-up! :surfweb:

ahhh, the joys of toilet papering. I spent a good amount of my teens doing that.

It's great that you know when you'll get your dates! :dance3:

I like being single too..I've actually had two relatively serious relationships since the divorce, both over a yr..but neither was interested (if that's the right word) enough in having a relationship with Piper for me to pursue it any further. Any man in my life needs to want her in his life as well. I figure if it happens, it happens, and if it doesn't, that's fine too. I do enjoy us being by ourselves, and to be honest I don't know if I could stand having a man in the house 24/7 anyway!!
I learned as a child of a single parent....the kids are a great resource for weeding out the jerks really fast. ;) The kids just being there is all it takes, if they are jerks they leave before even meeting the kiddos, or leave quickly once they do.

That's what my DH always says! I actually believe him though because nothing he's made has fallen apart, yet. That is one of his talents, though, and has built incredible things from scratch. But all things come with a trade-off. He let me take a nap this morning while he slept on the couch, I mean, watched the kids. I found blueberry poptarts in chunks and smudges all over the couch, blankets, desk, keyboard and floor....
I found with my DH when taking care of the kids....you have to take the good with the bad. I would laugh at the outfits put on the kids when he was incharge. :rotfl: I figure if they are still alive and not to worse for the wear than it was all good. :goodvibes

Is that a line in a song? If not it should be, because I feel like singing it!!!
A song all parents can relate to.

Very FUN!! I went TPing as a kid- a lot!

I don't recommend any of those though. :lmao:
The best one is when one of your girlfriends is turning 50 and you string HUGE bras all over the lawn, trees, bushes, then post on the garage door..."It's -------- 50th Birthday! She Needs All The Support She Can Get!"

I'm so sorry your feeling icky, praying you feel better quickly. We are BIG on vitamin D3 in our house, I highly recommend it since you've got one in public school (my mom said she was never more sick then when we kids first started school). I don't know if you can give it to your oldest (I'm sure you'll check with the doc on this), but everyone else can take it. It will boost your immune system big time, even better than vitamin C. We take it through the week and then weekends off. I buy ours in a liquid juice like form from Costco. Love it! I don't do flu shots (and no I won't tell anyone who gets them they're a horrible person, we all have to do what we feel is best for ourselves and family :)) so this is what we do instead. We all take (dd10, ds17, and myself-can't get the DH to do it :sad2:) 5000 I.U.'s a day.

I'm personally dreaming of a refreshing refreshment of an icy mint julep on my balcony at POR in Sept!!!
That's right! You can't drink over there, can you? :sad2: Not that you need to do it, but it's nice to have the option if you want. Am I right?

Yes..we're finally getting dates! :banana::yay:

Very nice. Looks like y'all are having way too much fun! :) I love how you go so far out of your way to make things fun for Piper, your a good Mama.

What a waste of TP...;)
Your not gonna rate her TP job are you? Remember this is her house Jordie, not a bathroom. ;)

I am literally bursting with excitement..it feels like it's been forever since we started the whole process!

What a waste of TP...;)

Alabaster is such a good elf..he left all the tp attached to the roll so it would be easy for me to clean it up afterwards! (And yes, it's in the bathroom now ready for use!..Maybe I'm too frugal!)
