Piper's Practically Perfect PTR..Wish Trip! 3/2-8...Upd Pg 126- TR Link!! Hooray!

Good morning Mr. Mom. :lmao::lmao:

Ok, let me just say that when the boys dad was around he would attempt to put together all those things and NEVER read the directions and cuss and slam things and we just left the room.:scared1: (Mind you, he was a mellow kind of guy so this was very uncharactoristic) So I don't miss that.

Now, I read the directions and put the thing together. :confused3 Not always fun and often there are not enough pictures of what a whatchamacalitic looks like but with trial and error and internet images, I have put together many things.

Can't wait to see your pictures. How's Piper today?

Good morning, all!!

Mama, I'm thinking she's going to be one to discover cures as smart as this baby is...this girl doesn't miss a beat! :lovestruc
By the way....Hi Amanda! I'm Camille, call me Millie or Camille either is fine, and I'm here in part because your so darn funny, and because Jordie pimped your PTR out and reminded me to get my bum over here.:yay: Piper is amazing, and beautiful and I'm so happy and blessed to be apart of a small portion of yours and Pipers lives while you plan for your trip. Thank you for allowing me the honor to be here and share this with you and so many of your new friends.

:welcome: Thank you for the prayers, Millie  Piper talks about wanting to be the one to find a cure when she grows up, it makes me misty every time she does it. Personally though, I'm hoping that a cure will come along before she gets there :) Thanks for coming along for the ride!

This ptr needs a tissure alert !
I've just made it through and I feel like I've been on a rollercoaster.

Your Piper is a doll:goodvibes

:welcome: Thank you, and thank you for coming over, Winkers. She is very sweet...most of the time!

Good morning! We're going to decorate the tree this morning, I put the lights on it last night..so we may have pictures up tonight!

She's still running a low grade fever (though lower) and needing the 1.5 of O2..I keep reminding myself the antibiotic is going to need a couple of days to really kick in before there's even a chance of seeing a difference. I just really don't want her to end up on IVs again!

That's why I keep my husband around...that and cleaning the snow off of my car. :rotfl2: ;)

LOL! I don't mind brushing off the snow, but I detest scraping ice off the windshield for some reason! I've actually dated :cringe: since the divorce, my favorite part of that is being able to leave them wherever and go back to my own house!

:rotfl2: Dating after divorce is not easy, I know. :headache:
My husband works overnight so I only get him to clean off my car on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Let me tell you I milk that for all it is worth. :rotfl2:

Ohh..I don't blame you..when they work 3rds like that you really have to take advantage of weekends..been there, done that!

Morning All!! I too am divorced , but seeing as he never brushd off my car I don't miss that:lmao: He did use to read directions but still cussed puting things together !! :rotfl2: Which he always left till the last minute :confused3
I like being single and don't have any interest in dating what so ever !! I am in LOVE with A Mouse

I like being single too..I've actually had two relatively serious relationships since the divorce, both over a yr..but neither was interested (if that's the right word) enough in having a relationship with Piper for me to pursue it any further. Any man in my life needs to want her in his life as well. I figure if it happens, it happens, and if it doesn't, that's fine too. I do enjoy us being by ourselves, and to be honest I don't know if I could stand having a man in the house 24/7 anyway!!

I would like to go on record as saying they always put extra parts in the box so having left overs is okay! :thumbsup2

If the fever is coming down... the antibiotics are starting their magic! Maybe by tonight she will be a little better. :lovestruc

That's what my DH always says! I actually believe him though because nothing he's made has fallen apart, yet. That is one of his talents, though, and has built incredible things from scratch. But all things come with a trade-off. He let me take a nap this morning while he slept on the couch, I mean, watched the kids. I found blueberry poptarts in chunks and smudges all over the couch, blankets, desk, keyboard and floor....:sad2:

I'm hoping, Susan! This afternoon I had to up her O2 to 2.5 :( I do spot checks on it and hadn't done one this am like I usually do, she was only running 92 on the 1.5. Bleh.

Thank you for coming over, and :welcome:. One of the things I have going for me is how much she trusts me..lol. As awful as it sounds, it makes it very easy to surprise her, and do things like the elf.

LOL Melissa. I'm glad you were able to get a nap in though!

Just chiming in to make my presence known - can't wait to hear more about the surprise!

I actually stayed late at work to finish catching up on this PTR - so night all!

:welcome: Thank you for coming over..I hope it was worth staying late at work for! It's getting closer now, but I still don't have dates :scared1:..I'm thinking I'm going to e-mail our wish coordinator tomorrow and explain why I want the dates before Christmas to see if she can make some magic happen!

Great report!

((hugs)) to you and Piper. I'm a nurse too, background mostly neonates over the last 20 years.

One of my coworkers has CF and had her lung transplant 4 years ago. She keeps pics of her old diseased and new donor lungs in her locker.

Now she's an active mother and even plays baseball!

She has always been very open about her journey, had terribly frail health for most of her childhood and throughout her adult life. It took her 10 years to finish nursing school thanks to CF.

You go girl, I think a man would have probably messed it up. Hope Piper is doing ok today.

:welcome: Thank you for reading! I'm not actually nurse (though I sometimes feel like one!)..so I throw that into my jack-of-all trades description! It's always nice to hear positive outcomes. With her health the way it is now, I'm thinking we're prob going to be looking at a transplant sooner (I'm hoping to make it into the teens) rather than later. I think I would kill her myself if she decided to go into nursing though..too many bugs for her to catch!

Thanks, Mary. She had homebound today, which translates into no napping, so right now I have a very grumpy girl! I'm counting down to her bedtime though, lol.
