Pins....how do I know?

Hi everyone!
Okay, so I have already made a reservation for October 2012. 4 nights/5 days. How exactly do I know if I ever get a pin? Do I just call like once a week and ask? Does it show up on the website when I log in? I know there may not be any discounts until later in the year for October 2012, but trying to prepare myself....I certinly don't want to miss out on any savings that I can spend else where at Disney! LOL

Disney Destinations will send you an email about a special offer, pricing, vacation, etc. for the ___(your last name goes here)___ family (make sure you created an account on the Disney site and signed up for emails, mailings, etc.), you will receive a postcard from Disney, or you can call and ask.

I've received all three types of notifications. One time I didn't receive an email or mailing, but when I called and asked I found out I had a pin for 40% off rates at Deluxe resorts (can't beat that!).

So, you can receive a pin code via email, mail or by calling and if they have one associated with your address/name.
