PINs attached to name

How long in advance do people start calling and asking if they have a PIN attached to their name? I figure it's too early for me (we're going in April '12) so I'm wondering when I should think about calling...

I am curious about this too and didnt know you could do this. Wouldnt u get an email with the pin?

I have called and have had pins attached with no email.. we just got a pin for a trip I had inquired about for november 2011... we got one last year too after I called a couple of times and was chatting it up with the CM.

This is just a hunch I get.. but I think personally that those pin codes are not as random as what WDW would like you to think they are...

Definitely Call IMO.. and keep calling!

good luck to you... we're trying to figure out dates, but unfortunately the ones that work for our next trip all seem to be blacked out.

I would call too. I inquired about a few trips on the site actually, saved them, chatted with the cms and low and behold, a 40% PIN offer for the Poly!

It wouldn't hurt to log into your Disney account and maybe request the new planning DVD. We did that many months ago, got a few PINs then never heard anything. After recently updating our info and ordering the new DVD we've received some new PINs in snail mail and email ... the email PIN was for free QS dining the week before Christmas which we'll use.
