Pinocchio ride...

Can someone tell me more about the ride? It says it may frighten small children I'd love to go on this ride but I'm worried about DD1 who was terrified of Peter Pan and the dark... She is a bit of a wimp though...

Is it scary? I'm not too bad on the rides, just refusing to go on the big ones but wouldn't think Pinocchio would be like SM or so...

I cant really remember much about the ride, i dont think it's that bad- like the peter pan ride it is abit juddery and is very dark so it may be abit scary for your DD.

There are some quite dark bits to it especially after Stromboli (is that his name) has got Pinnochio and takes him off to turn him into half boy half donkey. Also at some point the whale rears up and opens its mouth as though it would swallow you.

Not half as scary as Snow White though where the whole focus is on Maleficent.

Regarding Pinocchio our DD at 3 didn't really like it much

It is a bit darker which I know is strange for a childrens ride.

If you do a search on Youtube you will find a video of it I am sure

My DD isn't a fan of dark rides, and of the 3 in Fantasyland, she'd rate them as - best - Peter Pan (she did take 3 goes before she would open her eyes on the ride, but she really likes it now)

2nd - Pinocchio (just like the film, the start and end of the ride are fluffy and cuddly, but the middle is where you find the Lost Boys, Stombolli, the donkey boys, and the whale). DD refuses to go on this again.

3rd - Snow White - absolutely terrified DD - won't even walk past this ride without holding my hand now !

My DBF went to DLRP a few years ago and he went on this. He reckons (from memory) that the only thing that is quite scary about the ride was that it is very dark. He says if he remembers rightly the actual content of the ride isn't that scary.
