Count me in!!! I want you to know two things fresh in my mind:

#1 - I was breathless reading about you going in to Yankee Stadium... I am calling Francona as we speak... I am alerting the presses - BAD Massachusetts Girl, BAD!!!

#2 - I completely stopped reading at page 6 or 7 and went to ebay and started eyeballing dresses... is it bad the date isn't even set yet? EHHH... I'm a girl!

If it is any constellation at all we did cheer on the Red Sox at the Metrodome less than a week later--

No VIP status here, but it was a great time!!

We were pretty concerned about some of family members not being able to spend our day with us due to some financial constraints. We started to look at all options to accommodate them, including relocating the wedding. We came up with backup plans A. have an Escape ceremony the morning before the cruise departs, and B. Compass Point in Nassau. I'm happy to say that we will not have to use either plan, but it is good to have in our back pocket.

I came across Compass Point in Nassau and fell in love! Um, I'm thinking 10 year renewal!

Well to begin, we've been together for 5 years, and ultimately came to the decision to get married. No big proposal or anything like that, of which I am perfectly ok with! I haven't had an engagement ring, as jewelry is not so much my thing. I would have rather spent the money on a great resort, dinner, etc.

I've been searching for a band/ring/set, and haven't been exactly thrilled with the choices. Particularly since I knew I did not want a diamond center stone. I came across this one, and really loved it! So here we are!!

The center stone is peridot. I'm going to try and not wear it for the next couple of months, and use it as my "wedding band". I just can't wait for it to come in the mail!!!!

Sarah you are good!! It was Overstock! It also comes in pink topaz, which I really like, but I liked the peridot just a little more!

That is how I knew! They have a very similar one in blue topaz too - my birthstone. I check that site sometimes for deals, and thought it looked really familiar! I love online shopping.

The ring is really pretty, the peridot is very unique! That's going to take some willpower not to wear it until the wedding!
