I know that there is no benefit to the Pinecone member to refer others to the site. From what I have read, occasionally Pinecone will alert some members that they are looking for new members in certain demographic groups.

But I have never gotten the opportunity to ask anyone. But I WAS able to join when Pinecone was looking for women over 40.

Yeah, I'm in the 18-24 year age bracket, and once I was sent an email about a year ago asking to refer others in that age group. I sent the email to about 8 of my friends and two of them were chosen.

Other than that, I've never heard of being able to just invite people.

OK, I PM'ed earlier to the OP. I logged in and researched Pinecone & no unless they ask you to, they do not take referrals I did tell her that they do post when they are looking. This is usually the 1st place I go and post when things like this pop up for me, so if I hear about something I will definitely pass it on!

No. They don't usually do things that way. Usually you have to find one of their elusive banners. (I have NEVER seen one.) Or you have to wait until they are looking for a particular demographic group and put out the word to current members. I think once they did a kind of "open enrollment" thing where anyone could sign up. But even if you sign up, you may not be chosen for membership. It is based upon their needs at that time...

Unfortunately, there is no one site that I disclose to you. The banner ad placement is not fixed over the life of the campaign. The web sites that our banner ads may appear on are constantly changing during the course of the campaign.

Pinecone is awesome. It is truly one of the few legitimate survey sites, since it doesn't solicit anything or fill up your mailbox with junk. They now deposit your checks directly into your paypal account which is great.

I did not, however, sign up through a banner. I can't remember the details but a couple of years ago someone here posted a link. I signed up and sent it to my daughter who also signed up. I have never before that, or since, seen a Pinecone banner.
