Do you think this is just caramel in the sauce or something else? We are going to a dinner party on Saturday and I would like to bring/make it, but I just don't know how. Anyone ever ask what was in it?

I think they use just a plain caramel sauce. Mrs. Richarson's makes a great caramel ice cream topping. Tt is in a jar and I get it in the ice cream topping section of my local grocery store. This brand is a good one, and I think it would be great with pineapple. What a great and easy idea for your dinner party!

I'm not exactly positive on this but I think the regular caramel sauce is thinned with something so it won't harden.

I think it's thinned a bit, too, because I remember it dripping easily and not sticking to the pineapple as much as carmel sundae topping would be...

Sure is yummy!

a coworker of mine gave me this yummy caramel recipe:

take a can of sweetened condensed milk, and put it in a pot of water and let it simmer for 3-4 hours. When it's done and you open the can, it's turned to caramel and soooo yummy!

I'd buy any caramel topping you can find in the ice cream topping section. Thin slightly with Corn Syrup so it won't harden.
