Pin Trading

I'm new to Disney and have been working on planning an awesome trip. I'd been once before but it was an organized trip with my high school marching band.

I'm really interested in starting to trade pins. Does anyone have any tips?

Also, is it worth it to buy the starter kits in WDW? And how much are they?

I was also wondering if anyone knew what the birthday pins looked like, whether or not they were unique to the month and was wondering where the new "piece of history" pins can be found..

Thanks Piecey. We are going on the Disney Cruise and parks in April and I was wondering the same thing. We were watching Extreme Home Makeover on Sunday and my daughter saw the pins on one of the people when they got back from Disney and now she wants to trade also.
